RIPLEY CASTLE

The Ingilby family are the oldest family still to live in the same residence

Ripley Castle is a delight to visit at any time of the year - if the Castle walls could talk they would tell the story of

kings and queens, civil war and plagues, secrets concealed behind the Knight’s Chamber panelling, the swashbuckling

daughter who held Oliver Cromwell at gunpoint in the library, and numerous clandestine affairs.

Guided Tours are amusing and informative.

Special Children’s Castle Tours daily at 1.00 p.m.in school holidays

Beautiful Gardens and Parkland Magnificent grounds - walled gardens contain some of Britain’s largest herbaceous borders; kitchen gardens

containing rare collections of herbs and spices, fruit trees and vegetables; Deer Park and lakes.

Children’s Play Area There are tempting items on display at the Castle’s Gift Shop and The Castle Tearooms is the perfect place for

delicious refreshments. There is ample free parking.

ENTHRALLING FOR ALL AGES OPEN ALL YEAR
