Based on Geo Information System GIS systems, site visits and third party data S2m carries out detailed site selection and site assessments for your solar power project.

Site Selection and Assessment

Evaluation criteria are: Threshold values for solar resource and

meteorological conditions Topography (seismic, possible shading,

terrain slope and soil conditions) Infrastructure (electricity grids, roads, local

labor, transport) Water availability (for cleaning and/or

cooling) Other socio-technical criteria as applicable,

e.g. avoidance of environmentally protected zones, local communities and authorities.

NowCasting service for improved operation of solar power plants (PV, CPV and CSP)

13 May 2014Sun to Market Solutions

Is a real-time cloud cover photo and weather dataanalysis system that, combined with satellite data, provides 1-minute to 24-hour solar resource and weatherforecasting for the PV, CPV and CSP industry. Featuring:

• Access to real-time satellite images, photos from high-resolution fish-eye cameras with 180o view, and datafrom local weather station

• Hybrid continuous data-assimilation and real-timeimages as input to mesoscale and miniscale models

• Integrated software for cloud cover analysis

By predicting the near-term solar resource and otherweather data, the system can be a powerful tool in theday to day optimization of operating solar installation.

7. RAMP RATE CONTROL:Ramp Rate Control is required to smoothly transition from one output level to another. The PV facility shall be able to control the rate of change of power output during some circumstances, including but not limited to:

(1) rate of increase of power, (2) rate of decrease of power, (3) rate of increase of power when a curtailment of power output is released; (4) rate of decrease in power when curtailment limit is engaged.

A 10 % per minute rate (based on nameplate capacity) limitation shall be enforced.

This limit applies both to the increase and decrease of power output.
