Dear Recruiter,

I am pleased to introduce to you the PGDM, PGDHRM and PGDM-BFS batch of 2017. Each year IMI has successfully delivered learned professionals with rich insights and execution acumen. IMI believes in educating its students to become socially sensitive, responsible and motivated professionals with skills, temperament and experience.

The comprehensive range of programs offered at IMI ensures that our teaching approach helps our students in developing their abilities and honing their skills to be able to contribute to the company in the most effective manner. For the past 31 years, IMI-New Delhi has been providing high quality, competent professionals to the corporate world. The competencies required to deliver sustained performance in the world of business have evolved over the years. The programs at IMI Delhi are highly demanding and have been successful in bringing out the best in our graduates. Most of the participants of our different programs have made a place for themselves in the industry at various official positions, both national and global, in their respective functions.

We, as an Institute, have constantly endeavored to ensure that we are abreast with the topical developments of the corporate world by taking up new initiatives and by introducing fresh courses for our students, year on year. Our students have always supported us by putting their faith in us and orienting themselves to extract the maximum value out of what we have to offer. As an outcome of these efforts we have grown in rankings across all major ranking surveys in the country and are among the top ten schools in the country today.

The International Management Institute, New Delhi was established in 1981. It is India's first corporate-sponsored Business School with sponsorship from corporate houses like RPG Enterprises, Nestle, ITC etc. In 1984, it launched the one-year full-time Executive Post Graduate Program in association with IMI Geneva (now IMD, Lausanne).

Since its inception, IMI, New Delhi has grown by leaps and bounds. It received SAQS (South Asia Quality Systems) accreditation in 2009, making it among the seven business schools in the South Asian region to receive this rigorous international accreditation of quality assurance standards. Only three years later, it added another feather to its cap by receiving the prestigious accreditation of Association of MBA's (AMBA) for a period of five years.

Today, IMI, New Delhi offers a total of six management programs, each of which create managers with different sets of capabilities. The institution takes great pride in being a pioneer of change in the field of management. It has a family of more than 4000 Alumni. Many of the alumni have achieved great success in their respective fields and to this day, have been contributing actively to the growth of the Institute.

MISSION

ABOUT IMI

The courses at IMI, New Delhi have been designed keeping in mind the rapidly changing business environment. The PGDM, PGDHRM and PGDM-Banking & Financial Services programs aim to provide the students with conceptual skills using experiential learning techniques. The programs have been approved by AICTE and have also been accredited by AMBA (Association of MBA's), SAQS (South Asian Quality Assurance System) and NBA.

Conceptualized in 1993, the PGDM program endeavors to create socially sensitive and responsible visionaries. The pedagogy involves interactive and participative methods of learning. The second year of the course provides the students an opportunity to pursue their interests in various functional areas. It also provides the option to specialize in more than one area like Marketing, Finance, Operations and Information Systems. To cater to the changing business requirements, new courses such as Designing New Ventures, Mergers and Acquisitions, Managing Strategic Alliances and Brand Communications have also been introduced.

The PGDHRM program was conceptualized in 2007 and uses various techniques such as lectures, case discussions, presentations, assignments and project work to facilitate learning of practical applications of HR policies. Also, various programs like 'Corporate Immersion Program', 'Corporate Mentoring' and live projects have been incorporated in the program to enhance the corporate exposure and to facilitate learning of the students. The Corporate Immersion Program coupled with the Mentoring Program offers students the opportunity to interact and learn from corporate mentors and gain an insight into the strategic role of HR in the overall corporate strategy of the organization.

The PGDM-Banking and Financial Services was launched in 2014 to meet the growing needs of management professionals in the Banking and Finance industry. The course pedagogy focuses on interactive and participative methods of learning. The focus of program is to develop a holistic and integrative approach of management in banking and financial services industry. The second year curriculum provides electives such as Treasury and Foreign Exchange Risk Management, Wealth Management and Alternative Investments, Fixed Income Securities to cater to various functional areas of the Banking and Finance industry.

In tandem to the above, the college also offers Executive PGDM. The 15 month course provides an option of pursuing it with an International Module. There is also a full time residential doctoral FPM program.

PROGRAMS OFFERED

IMI, New Delhi has benefitted significantly over time from its collaborations with IMI Geneva (currently IMD Lausanne), McGill University of Canada and Manchester Business School, UK. The institute also takes pride in being the only management institution from the private sector to have received UNDP assistance to promote internationally oriented management education. It currently enjoys collaborations with seven world class management institutions, namely ESC Rennes International School of Business (France), Grenoble Ecole De Management (France), IBS Moscow (Russia), Frankfurt School of Finance and Management (Germany), Zeppelin University (Germany), Louvain School of Management (Belgium) and JAMK University of Applied Sciences (Finland). It also conducts “India Exposure Visits” for students and delegates from UK and China. Further, it has an understanding with University of Austria, Graz for student exchange.

IMI, New Delhi believes that an institute becomes truly global only when its faculty goes global. Accordingly, it has a Memorandum of Understanding with Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok for joint research, faculty exchange and the Executive Development Programme. It has also conducted management courses for Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) participants from over 35 countries, with specialised focus on developing General Management and Supply Chain Management. These courses help participants understand global diversity and develop relationships that in turn help minimize conflicts and establish peace and harmony. For these various efforts that it has taken to strengthen its international linkage and for the quality of managers that it nurtures, IMI, New Delhi has been appreciated both by the industry as well as the academic circle alike.
