Welcome back to your HOLIDAY CLUB for the Jack Hunt Cluster of Schools. We offer a warm
welcome to all families and children . Come and join us and take part in some exciting activities from
being a Spy or a Detective for the day to pounding on the drums there is something for everyone.
Families from outside the cluster are very welcome . This year we have some NEW exciting work-
shops.
Have fun in the Jack Hunt Cluster!
Places are limited. We are not able to confirm places, but will contact you if a session is full or if it
has to be cancelled due to lack of numbers. With a view to
health and safety places are limited to an agreed tutor :
student ratio. Priority will be given to those who are booked
on a session. Do book early to prevent disappointment.
Please note Dance Xperience, Detective Xperience, Spy
School, Fustal and Tennis days require online booking with
Sports Xtra.
WE PREFER BOOKINGS at least 48 HOURS BEFORE A
SESSION. Bookings must be accompanied by a completed
application form signed by parent/carer and payment. We
have kept charges as low as possible your participation
helps this holiday club keep going and expanding. Support us
and keep it going! We have tried to offer longer sessions during the day.
Nearly all the sessions are held at Jack Hunt School, so please
come to the NEW Community Reception (near the Swimming
Pool entrance) where we will welcome and
register you onto your activities.

week 6 there is refurbishment in Block 4 at Jack Hunt School).

Please note for activities which take place outside the school (e.g. tennis courts/playing

Please remember your water bottles for all activities, and packed lunches for activities
that span lunchtime. Payment should accompany Application Form.

day at the Jack Hunt School Extended schools/ Community Reception between 9.30am and 8.30

faster and safely. Try our new session.
Wednesdays - For Intermediate/Advanced cyclists -
Improve your skills and learn how to race.

Racing all on school site. Please bring water for refreshment,
and suitable clothes for weather plus sunscreen to be worn.

Project 1 - Hampton Reserve
When - Monday 30th July and 6th
August - come on one or two days!
Ages 10 - 14 9.45am - 3.15pm
Meet at Jack Hunt School at 9.45am for transport to
Hampton. Spend the day hunng for snakes, jumping in
muddy puddles, building dens and pond dipping. Join
Froglife on a behind the scenes jolly on the wonderful
Hampton Nature Reserve. This will be an outdoor session
on muddy and uneven terrain. Please pack your
enthusiasm, imaginaon, packed lunch, water, wet
weather gear and sun cream. You will be dropped back at
Jack Hunt School at 3.15pm.
Project 2 - The Wildlife Haven at Railworld
When - Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd August
Ages 10 - 19 9.45am - 3.15pm
Meet at Jack Hunt School at 9.45am for transport to
Railworld. If art is your thing and you like wildlife then
this is denitely the thing for you. We will be using the
fantasc wild garden area of Railworld to create
environmental art and spend some me learning from an
established gra arst. This is a two day course, please
make sure you bring weather appropriate clothes and a
packed lunch. You will be dropped back at Jack Hunt
School at 3.15pm.
Project 3 - Holy Well Ponds : located in our cluster!
When - Friday 3rd August
Ages - 10-19 9.45am - 3.15pm
Meet at Jack Hunt School at 9.45am. Spend me
exploring this fantasc area which is right on our door-
step. We will be helping to create an area of wildower
meadow so this will involve lots and lots of digging.
Please pack your enthusiasm, imaginaon, packed lunch,
water, wet weather gear and sun cream. You will be
walked back to Jack Hunt School at 3.15pm.

at Jack Hunt School and oers the ideal opportunity for stu-

and prepare for upcoming exams, or to prepare for the new
school year. It is parcularly suitable for students making
the transion from Year 6 to Year 7.
This opportunity is oered FREE to any year 6 student who
is coming to Jack Hunt School in September 2012 - places
must be booked before the end of the term to enable a pre
assessment to take place and tutor sessions to be booked.
Parents of other aged students and from non-cluster
schools can either purchase a minimum of 12 hours as part
of the cluster summer school price on applicaon. A range

our exceponal parenng skills support programme run over
2011 - 2012 we oer informal sessions giving parents/carers
a chance to meet and join a session with our accredited
cluster parenng trainers who can talk about our parenngprogramme for Jack Hunt Cluster parents and carers of
children aged between 3-18, to help to raise happy, con-
dent children in our community
We are calling these sessions Modules A and B, each run-
ning once per week for 4 weeks - so you can pick and mix.

support with the parents we meet

Ever wanted to be in a band? Want to play stadium style
power chords on the guitar? Want to make a band sound
great with the big sound of the Bass? Want to drive a
band with huge grooves on drums? Well here is a
fantasc opportunity to do JUST THAT! Rock school is a 3
day event for people who want to start out on either
Guitar, Bass or Drums. Learn some classic ris, greatgrooves and get involved in song wring too! If you can
only spare one day the 1st day is available to everyone.
The following 2 days are only available to the future rock
stars who are playing with us on all 3 days. At the end of
the course there will be a short gig to show parents and
friends the rock school player's new skills. Equipment

Want to become a Detective? OurDetective Xperience is for you
Ever wanted to explore the Crime Scene
Investigation (CSI) and try your hand at being a Chief In-
spector Detective? Well, this brand new Detective Xperi-
ence is just for you. Have a go at fingerprinting, tracking
suspects, reconstructing stolen goods, mystery solving
and much more.
Wear suitable clothing (including warm, outdoor clothes
for Spy and Detective Experience) and bring a packed
lunch, mid-

1) DANCE XPERIENCE 14, 15, 21 AND 22 AUG
Learn how to show o some
moves on the dance oor. Our
dance instructors will choreograph
some fantasc rounes in dance
styles such as jazz, street dance, break dance or chart. If
you like to dance, youll love this day.

2) DETECTIVE XPERIENCE 20- 24 AUG
Want to be a Special Agent? Join our
SPY SCHOOL! This has been a big hit
during the summer and half term
clubs, so we are recruing for spies
again!
Previous spies are also needed to complete new missions.
Trainee spies are given a special mission for the day. To
complete it successfully you will be taught code breaking,
laser combat, navigaon gadget making and many other funand excing skills.
Wear suitable clothing including warm, outdoor clothes and
bring a packed lunch, mid-morning/aernoon snack and
water to drink during the day.
4) FUTSAL XPERIENCE 16 AND 23

years.

for cover during the holidays.

This years Pun play scheme is going to be about Zoolife,
with creave cras, cooking, outdoor games and a day trip.
It will be at Jack Hunt School, Peterborough, PE3 9PN
starng at 10am and nishing at 3pm.
It is for deaf children aged 5-13 years old with any degree of
permanent or temporary hearing loss and it costs only 10
for the week. Brothers and sisters are allowed on the play-
scheme and they will be charged 10 a day, 50 a week.
The playleader will be Nicola Epathite, chair for PDDCS, aqualied signer and rst aider who has run the play scheme
for a number of years now. It will be a fun packed week for
all to enjoy and if any of you are able to help during the
week it would be much appreciated, whether it be for the
whole week or just a day please feel free to come along.
For those new to the play scheme we need a photocopy of
the child/childrens birth cercate as we are not insured for
children outside of our stated ages of 5-13 years.
If you have a long way to come we can provide transport and
if those of you living in Peterborough have any problems
geng there please let us know and we will make sure your
child/ren are able to aend this entertaining week.
Children will need a pack lunch every day and if it is hot
dont forget the sun hats and sun cream!
There is a day trip is on Thursday 23rd August to Twycross
Zoo, Leicester and we will leave at 9am and return 4pm.

asap and she will then send you the forms to ll in. If you
