Robotics CampTime: 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Ages: 9 - 13Class Size: 10 minimum Instructor: Mr. Justin Vincent Price: $150

Build your own robot then compete against your campmates to be the Summer Camp Robotics Champion. Campers receive an introduction to concepts in engineering design and computer science through the use of robotics. Learn to build and program a robot using Lego Robotics kits. You can’t keep the robot you build but you will get a robotic gift to take home.

Bring your love of DIY and experience making, tinkering, designing and building various projects throughout the week! This camp is designed for anyone who loves to make things from everyday objects and explore their creative side through daily projects.

All aboard for lots of hands on fun! Join in the escapades of Harry & his friends. Play quidditch. Make an edible wand. Brew some fantastic potions to drink. Create amazing chemical reactions. Watch a mirage appear. Make cool crystals. Experiment with colored magic sand and see a mysterious glowing ball. Wonder where the sorting hat will place you? Join us where the magic of science, art and literature meet.

Egyptian Dig - Buried Treasure Digs CampTime: 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Ages: 6 - 11Class Size: 10 minimum Instructor: Sciensational Price: $150

Discover the amazing science of Archaeology as you uncover ancient artifacts. Learn about Egyptian life. Excavate with tools like a real archaeologist uses. Find a scarab, hieroglyphic tablet, ankh symbol and a jackal. Take home a booklet that explains your finds and keep all the artifacts you dig up. Create sand sculptures in the shape of pyramids or a sphinx. Go back in time with this hands on archaeological experience!

Ok Legomaniacs! It’s time to build and make films with Legos. The heart of this week’s camp is the creation of stop motion, animated films. Learn stop motion filmmaking while getting your Lego freak on! This a fun, active and collaborative camp that builds communication skills and media literacy.

Itching to learn more about Minecraft Mods? Everyday campers will work with a new mod. You’ll learn how to download, install and explore each of these great elements in the Minecraft world. Furniture, construction, Biomes, and Battle mods are all included. We’ll even use the Force and install a Star Wars texture pack. May the mods be with you! (They surely will if you join us for this cool camp!)

2016Camps

Expand your Minecraft skills beyond vanilla! Work at your own pace and hang with your Minecraft tribe. Learn how to install mods, build maps, create cool structures with other Minecraft fanatics and have more than a few Minecraft adventures. This camp is designed around your skills and desires. The Star Wars Texture pack? WE have it! Not Enough Items? No Problem! (Parents: this is a popular mod) Just need to learn the basics, like how to survive the night? We can help with that too. Minecrafters will have a great time at this camp!

The bad news: you might not survive this camp. The good news: even if you don’t, you will still be able to act in the class movie. This filmmaking camp will create an original zombie movie complete with gross looking make-up, decaying flesh and plenty of infestation. Along the stumbling, lurching way, you’ll learn filmmaking. Learn how to frame shots, manage the production environment, edit your film and lay in your sound. No doubt about it. This will be an instant classic.

The Stumbling Dead: A Zombie Film Camp Time: 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Ages: 8 - 14Class Size: 10 minimum Instructor: Box of Light Price: $150

Make an inanimate world come to life as clay, paper and even bottle tops get up and move across the landscape you create. Learn to add sounds, credits and polish your film until it shines. This camp is great for those who love art and who want to create films.

Claymation CampTime: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Ages: 8 - 14Class Size: 10 minimum Instructor: Box of Light Price: $150

Build and keep an air-powered Hover Craft. Use your creativity to control direction and make it defy gravity. Build and take home your own car. Build a super car powered by more than one source of energy and there’s no limit to the design possibilities. Build an Egg Drop Car. Construct a vehicle that will cushion a raw egg when the car is dropped from a high place. Designed to give lessons about the Laws of Motion, Energy, Air, Pressure, Friction, Lift, Speed and Acceleration. A great hands on way for learning to be fun!

Be a super science sleuth and have fun learning about forensics, crime scene investigations, and crime lab chemistry as you perform as many as 15 different experiments designed to show you just how those tricky cases are solved. Search for evidence, gather clues and discover how science can help solve a mystery. Dust for fingerprints, analyze handwriting, test for blood type using simulated blood, examine hair and clothing fibers; practice chemistry to identify mysterious substances and more!

CSI - Crime Scene Investigation CampTime: 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Ages: 6 - 11 Class Size: 10 minimum Instructor: Sciensational Price: $150

If you love to work with paper, create personal gifts and have a penchant for writing this camp is for you! Fold, Stamp, and punch your way to making various books such as an envelope book, a tiny coin book, a dos-à-dos (that’s French, look it up) and a pop-up Origami book. You’ll learn various stitching techniques to create pamphlets and chapter books of all shapes and sizes and you’ll get an elegant journal so you can write down all your brilliant thoughts.

Asian Art CampTime: 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Ages: 9 - 15 Class Size: 10 minimum Instructor: Mrs. Christina Spencer Price: $150

This Chinese Mandarin immersion and Asian Art experience is designed to give campers the opportunity to learn some Mandarin while participating in culturally rich activities such as drawing, brush painting, calligraphy, lantern and kite making. Each camper will get personalized instruction and care. Campers will develop cultural awareness and heighten their knowledge of global communities through fun, interactive lessons and activities.

Bring your love of sketching and art to this camp to help you develop your drawing skills. You’ll explore a variety of drawing media, both dry and wet, and gain valuable tips and insights to help you gain more confidence in your drawing.

Get ready to get messy! Messy Art camp is for boys and girls who want to celebrate getting messy while creating one of a kind artwork and having a blast. Campers use a variety of art mediums such as watercolors, acrylic paints, pastels, shaving cream, water balloons and lots more! Messy Art Camp promises to be gloopy, gloppy, and awesomely messy. Campers need to be dressed in clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty. All campers should bring a bag lunch, snacks and water will be provided.
