Cultural Enrichment Weekend Enrichment CoursesOur uniquely designed Weekend Enrichment Courses are offered Friday(4-8pm), Saturday (10am-8pm) and Sun-day (10am-8pm). Classes are held on theUR campus where course curriculum iscoordinated with exciting and educa-tional excursions in the Richmond area(e.g. State Capitol, Virginia Museum ofFine Arts, Virginia Historical Society, St. John’s Church, Historic NarrativeCanal Cruise, Art Galleries, and more!)Students are given the opportunity to explore subjects such as history, art,communication & public speaking.

Culinary Arts ProgramThe Culinary Arts Program (CAP) is an exciting hands-on series of food preparationclasses designed for home cooks and industry aspirants with a variety of experiencelooking to expand their culinary knowledge.

CAP students learn skills and cooking techniques from local food experts. We’ll teachyou everything from basic kitchen safety to the preparation of a multi-course meal.Plus you’ll have the opportunity to explore a variety of cuisine and food topics includ-ing regional specialties, breads, desserts, ethnic cooking and more.

If you’re really serious about cooking, enroll in the CAP Certificate. It’s a 42-hourprogram that includes five core courses, four electives (topics change each semester),and a Certified Executive Chef Review course.

Once you have obtained your CAP Certificate, you’ll be eligible to participate in our Advanced Special Series. This special series of classes isdesigned specifically for students who have completed our CAP Certificate and want to continue to learn and expand their knowl-edge. Series topics will change so you will al-ways find something new to learn!

Certificate Eligibility andGraduationIn order to receive the certificate, youmust attend and successfully complete42 hours of the program. Children’s Technology Workshop icamp™Children’s Technology Workshop icamp provides rising 2nd – 8th graders withthe chance to author their own day camp experience. Children complete ap-plied-technology adventures that are customized to their skill level. Activitiesoccur both on and off the computer with a focus on engineering and robot-ics, video game creation, animation, and graphic design. During the first ac-tivity at camp, children will select 3 - 6 adventure projects that they willcomplete during their week-long session.

Students can choose from among 10 theme-based adventures: AnimationAlive; Expedition Egypt; Fashion Designer; Mission to Mars; Medieval;Architect; Olympics; Team F1 Racing; Planet Protector; and

Gamemaker Guru (grades 4 - 8 only). Our highly trained adventureguides help children to select programs that suit their age,

area of interest, and skill level in order to maximize the funand thrill of success. Student-teacher ratio is 7 to 1.

Students can choose to attend a half-day or full-daycamp. If attending for half-day, students shouldbring a snack and drink. For full-day camps, stu-dents should bring snacks, drinks and a bag lunch.

We will take fun activity breaks outside, soplease send students to camp in appropri-

ate clothing. Full-day campers shouldregister for both the morning and afternoon session for the week.

Fee: $319 for each half-day (morning or af-ternoon)/$638 for full day (9A – 4P)

Adult-Youth Beginner Golf Would you like to spend more time withyour junior golfer?
