TESTIMONIALS

Our oldest two boys Matthew and Christopher Alexander had the opportunity to take part in the 2011 Lethbridge Orcas Performance Swim Camp. The week long camps was one of the highlights of their summer. The camp was extremely well organized, professionally run and helped them to develop and improve not only their swimming skills but also gave them an understanding of the importance of lifestyle in being a competitive athlete. Along with lots of intensive and technique focused training, the camp included valuable sessions on nutrition, the mental side of competitive sports and the importance of dryland training. The week was physically demanding, but the rewards showed up in personal best times throughout the rest of the summer swim season for both boys.

-Mike & Shelly Alexander, Pincher Creek Dolphins Swim Club

The swim camp held by Kent and his team was the best camp my swimmers have ever attended. It was a multi functional camp, incorporating not only swim techniques, but taught the value of dry land and nutritional training. It gave my swimmers confidence in the pool and race preparations. In my opinion Kent is an exceptional coach and I highly recommend this camp for any swimmer who is striving for improvement.

-Lisa Sygutek, Crowsnest Pass Piranhas Swim Club

I was very pleased with the Orcas swim camp that my 11 year old son took place in last summer. He was exhausted each night which means he worked really hard, but never complained even once. He looked forward to it each and everyday. He enjoyed all the introductions to new methods of dryland, some yoga, Crossfit and of course the t-shirts and water bottles. The coaches kept the camp fun and well structured. As a parent I noticed an improvement in his strokes, starts and turns immediately after the week was completed. As well, we noticed his confidence improved in his stroke and swimming abilities. He had a fun week and the swim specific instruction was very valuable. I would highly recommend the camp to anyone who loves competitive swimming.

-Tara VanDellen, Claresholm Kraken Swim Club

My daughter Emily participated in your swim camp in Lethbridge the week of July 11-15th. I wanted to take this time to thank you for a superior job well done. I was aware of the schedule of events that would unfold throughout the week and was impressed at how the young athletes handled the tasks and thrived. I believe this was due to your coaching, encouragement and your belief in each of the participants. I spent time with 4 of the swimmers that were involved in the camp. Each day they recognized protesting muscles and fatigue with smiles and desire to return the following day. I listened to their newly gained information of the percentages of fats, carbs and protein in their dinners. Wow! 14 years of parenting and education and all it took was a highly motivated well-respected coach in the eyes of youth. There has been knowledge and fond memories shared with me over the last week and it was a great surprise to receive your e-mail with the PowerPoint presentations –it was noted you went above the call of duty. You and your team were able to provide Emily with a lifetime of skills and information ranging from technique to core training and the importance of mental training, and I thank you for that.
