Energy: Low Energy Buildings
The Summer School "Achievements and Applications
of Contemporary Informatics, Mathematics and Phys-
ics" is an annual project organized and held by Student
Science Association and the National Technical Universi-
ty of Ukraine "KPI" in Kiev, Ukraine.
The prior aim of the project is to promote science among youth.
The courses are held by highly qualified lecturers and scientists from over the
world. Such variety of the lecturers will provide the multinational environ-
ment for discussions on the hot topics of contemporary science and technolo-
gy. Different teaching methods and techniques are used at the School includ-
ing lectures, workshops, round tables and presentations. Apart from educa-
tional program, exciting leisure activities such as excursions, debates and
quest, cinema club, and parties are prepared for the participants.

Focus of the stream is set on low energy housing and particularly new approaches and solutions to enhancing energy efficiency of buildings. We will start with broad overview of existing challenges joined with discussion of the wide-spread and emerging approaches to low energy building. That will expand to the study of the particu-lar technologies such as "smart

ELIGIBILITY The program is open to undergraduate and graduate students.
Prerequisites: basic physics and mathematics, desire to explore and discover.

Accepted participants are invited to submit an abstract for participation in a joint poster session. Posters should reflect current and relevant research in-terest of the participants. Topics are not limited to the participant stream area yet should remain within general AACIMP scope.
Abstract size is limited to 500 words. Abstract submission deadline is July 1.
All abstracts will be evaluated by the Program Committee of the Summer School and those accepted will be able to present their posters during the School. Posters should be sent by e-mail to [email protected] or submitted to the Organizing Committee not later than August 1.
Paper format of the posters is A0 landscape. Submitted posters should be in PDF print quality.
Additional 3 ECTS will be granted for participation in the poster session.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND DISCOUNTS
Every participant is welcome to apply for a participation discount.
In order to apply for the Summer School discount, participant has to sub-mit a separate discount request here (http://summerschool.ssa.org.ua/request-reduced-fee).
Discounts will be granted based on reasons provided in the motivation letter, academic merit and achievements. Recipients will be notified individually upon the decision.
Discounts can cover only certain part (not 100%) of the registration fee. They cover neither transportation nor accommodation and meals expenses.

Also, participants are offered to take part in exciting quests, the national evening, river tour and movie night.
