TIME TO CELEBRATE, DISCOVER AND CONNECT
Summer Madness probably Ireland’s premier
Christian youth festival and for many youth groups
has become the annual feature of their summer
programme, attracting thousands of young people
from the North and South of Ireland. What brings
together this amazing bunch of young people and
leaders is the desire to encounter Jesus and then
celebrate and explore the role of this relationship in
everyday life. Connecting their personal experience
with God to the bigger picture of what’s happening
beyond their church, their town or even their country.
The Festival offers a long week-end of faith building
encounters, an action packed programme and an
awesome array of bands, workshops, drama and
debate. The Spirit-filled worship and the practical
teaching from leading youth speakers combines
with the wide range of outdoor activities to offer
a varied programme to cater for all tastes.
A JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY
IT’S NOT ALL TALK
The whole festival experience of getting away
together and setting up camp is an adventure in
itself. Combine this with a range of fun outdoor
activities and this makes for an exhilarating (and
exhausting) five days. We have got zorbing,
hip hop dance workshops, acoustic afternoons,
caged football, bands galore, sports workshops,
climbing walls, on-site laserquest, and themed
cafes where you can chillax the entire day away
from the hustle and bustle of the festival beat.
WHO’S IT FOR?
Youth groups and young-ish people from every
background and denomination. The event began
within the Church of Ireland and is now an
independent charity. The festival is sustained through
the dedicated support of hundreds of volunteer
staff, and churches and partner agencies of all kinds.
So you’ll feel right at home…just one big family.
WHAT ELSE DO WE DO?
We are known for the big festival but we also teach,
equip and inspire through local church-based events,
training events, resources, discipleship courses
and working closely with other Christian youth
providers. One of our core events called StreetReach
provides young people great opportunities to
share their faith in simple acts of kindness in local
communities directly after the summer festival.
