THURSDAY 7/8RidottoRidotto offers concerts with a touch of theater. Tonight’s performance, “Music for Chagall,” is a multi-media presentation that includes dance and chamber music.
FRIDAY 7/9Judy Carmichael, Steinway ArtistGrammy-nominated pianist Judy Carmichael is one of the world’s leading interpreters of stride piano and swing. Count Basie nicknamed her “Stride,” acknowledging the command with which she plays this technically and physically demanding jazz piano style.
SATURDAY 7/10Plaza Theatrical, “Annie Get Your Gun”The fully-staged Broadway musical includes wonderful songs like “Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better” and “Doin’ What Comes Naturally.”

TUESDAY 7/13Arm of the Sea, “Turtle Island Medicine Show”The Lenape Indians refer to North America as Turtle Island, and their stories describe a great flood and how various animals dive to the bottom to retrieve mud that would restore the land. Arm of the Sea enacts this story with enchanting mask and puppet figures.
WEDNESDAY 7/14Huntington Community Band, “Evening at the Pops”Music from Hollywood, Broadway and the world of jazz. Very special guest conductor: Robert W. Krueger (Northport Community Band).
THURSDAY 7/15Dobet GnahoréDobet Gnahoré dances, plays percussion and sings in seven African languages and French. Apart from the sounds of her homeland, Côte Ivoire, her music incorporates echoes of Cameroonian, Congolese and East African sounds. A must-see performance!

SATURDAY 7/17New Orleans’ Own Hot 8 Brass BandThe band plays the traditional Second Line parades, infusing their performances with the funk and energy that makes New Orleans music loved around the world.
SUNDAY 7/18Long Island Dance Consortium, “Kaleidoscope II”This evening of new work will feature performances from these troupes: Circle of Dance, Dance Theatre, Long Island Ballet Theatre and the BOCES Long Island High School for the Arts.
