Wasted Potential Brass BandMay 26

New Orleans influenced WPBB is Atlanta's pop up party starter. Powered by tuba goodness this brass band is planning a southern tour to promote their just released album "Low Bar." The name Wasted Potential for this band is the definition of irony. The tracks 404 town and Keep Up, the two bonuses on Low Bar, do not disappoint. They feature heavy brass and the real gem, the rhythm section. WPBB is a favorite at bars, festivals, parties, and the streets of Atlanta.

Cedar HillJune 9

Cedar Hill is Atlanta's most entertaining bluegrass band. This group of professional musicians features four lead vocalists, tight three and four part harmony, and skillful picking on the banjo, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, dobro and electric bass. Their versatility, their "out of the box" creativity, and their timely use of humor and comedy is what sets Cedar Hill apart from other bands. Cedar Hill performances display unique arrangements of bluegrass standards, and popular songs from other genres of music, with a few surprise twists and turns. When you go to a Cedar Hill performance, expect to be entertained, but also expect the unexpected.

Honeyboy and BootsJuly 23

Honeyboy and Boots are a husband/wife, guitar and cello duo with a unique style that is all their own. The songs Drew writes come straight from the heart. Their sound embodies Americana, traditional folk, alt country, and blues.

Drew Blackwell is a true Southerner raised in the heart of the black prairie in Mississippi. First picking up the guitar at fourteen, he was greatly influenced by his Uncle Doug who taught him old country and folk classics. Later, he was mentored and inspired to write (and feel) the blues by Alabama blues artist Willie King. You will hear all of this in his writing and his stories come alive in his songs.

Courtney Blackwell grew up in Washington State and comes from a talented musical family. She began playing cello at the age of three. Her mother was most influential in her progression of technique, tone quality, and ear training. Since traveling around much of the South, she has enjoyed focusing on the variety of ways the cello is used in ensembles. When she plays, you will feel those groovy bass lines making way to soaring leads create an emotional and magical connection between you and her music.

The duo formed in Mississippi in 2011 and in 2014 moved to the Nashville, TN area. They have opened for such acts as Verlon Thompson, The Josh Abbott Band, Cary Hudson (of Blue Mountain), and Rising Appalachia. Though they spend most of their time on the road, touring Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida, Texas, Washington and Idaho, they are proud to call Tennessee home!
