Students will be introduced to basic coding skills with easy to use drag-and-drop software, and get to use those skills to make their very own games. Students will also learn how to create their own 2D vector artwork to make characters and levels that are entirely their own. Claymation Movie Production (9 –12yrs)Make your own clay characters come to life, just like Shaun the Sheep. iRide Bike & Swim Camp (9 –14yrs)Mornings will be spent on two wheels and afternoons will be spent in the pool. Learn some new bike skills at Central Park beside Crystal Pool (Days 1 & 2) and then at Cecelia Ravine Bike Park (Days 3 – 5). Spend the afternoon swimming at Crystal Pool & Fitness Centre. Children should feel comfortable riding on their bike and the camp will work on improving whatever skill level they are at. Campers will ride Cecelia Ravine Bike Park to Crystal Pool & Fitness Centre along designated bike paths/lanes and one secondary road. No bike? Eli Pasquale Basketball CampsEli Pasquale has been bringing basketball to the community since 1984. This summer, campers have the choice of a half day camp or a full day camp with a swim. This camp provides Eli’s classic half day program plus full day campers will learn Eli’s Guard Series and Miracle Circuit. 2D Video Game Design (11–14yrs)Learn how to build an HTML5 game from the ground up using awesome free tools. This is a coding camp, so be prepared to challenge yourself and learn some new skills. The final project is a game you can take home on USB or proudly share with friends online. 3D Animation (11–14yrs)Dreaming of a career with PIXAR? Ever wonder how those awesome 3D animated movies like Shrek, Toy Story and Frozen are made? You’ll use Blender, a free 3D software, to design characters that jump off the screen and then make them come alive by adding voices, soundtracks and completing your own animated short film. Build An App (11–14yrs)Learn how to design, code, test and deploy your very own app. Use the GPS, accelerometer or anything else you can think of to build your app from scratch. This is a coding camp, so be prepared to challenge yourself and learn some new skills. Each day a new project is introduced and students are taken through the steps of understanding and working with the new code ideas. Students will get to work on their own project ideas on the final two days. They may use their own mobile devices to develop and test on, or use ours. 3D Game Design (11–14yrs)Create your own 3D Video Game! Invent your own digital worlds levels, adventures and quests using Blender, a free 3D game engine. Students will learn to make their own custom controls and gameplay using Blender’s unique Logic Bricks design interface. Instructors will lead students through exercises to introduce the most important 3D game design skills in the early part of the week and then support students on their own projects for the second half. • Allergies: • If your child carries an Epipen, an Anaphylaxis

• Please include only nut-free snacks and other food

• If there is a severe allergy, staff will communicate with campers and their families.

• Wait Lists: We review wait lists on a continuous basis and will make every effort to accommodate everyone interested.

• Cancellations: If minimum registration is not met, we may need to cancel or combine programs. These decisions are made on the Wednesday prior to the start date, so please register early.

• Post-dated Payment Plan: We offer a post-dated payment plan if you are registering for three or more camps. We require 20% payment upon registration and the remaining balance paid via post-dated cheques with the payment completed before the camps end.

• Refunds: Weekly camps require 72 hours notice before program start to request a refund or credit. Please note: Some outdoor pursuits programs are non-refundable. All credits will expire 12 months from the date of issue.

Behavioural expectations• Children and youth attending programs are expected

to behave in a manner which ensures their own safety and the safety of other participants, staff, and volunteers in the program. They will need to follow instructions from program leaders, and be responsible for their actions.

• Children need to be respectful of other participants and staff, be truthful and honest with others, and care for the building, equipment, and materials provided for camps

• In camps, many children will try new things. Leaders will encourage youth to be open to participating in a variety of activities

• Staff will be responsible for explaining rules and boundaries for participants, and encouraging appropriate, positive behaviour in their programs

• Parents will be notified if children and youth are not meeting behavioural expectations or following rules. Children endangering their safety or another person’s safety may be asked to leave the program and only return when accommodations are made that ensure the safety of all.

Parent information and forms (Drop-off and Pick-up)• Parents are required to be prompt with pick up, when

camps end. There will be a fine for late pickup• To authorize your child to sign themselves in/out of

camp please fill out a Permission to Release form (child must be at least 10 years of age).

• All parents, guardians and authorized persons picking children up from camp will be required to provide photo identification before a child will be released. This policy is for the safety of your child and your cooperation is appreciated.

Extended care• Runs 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.

(weekly registration only) • Unfortunately we are not able to provide extended

care for all camps. Please check to see if extended care is available for your camp.

• Camps do not run on statutory holidays (Aug 7), except for sailing and rowing.
