Monday - Friday June 17th - August 23rd 8:00am - 6:00pm

Standard Summer Camp Options

Brown School Summer Camp runs from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. Camps offer a variety of options that allow students to explore their interests, make new friends, learn new skills, play and have fun. Our camp is New York State certified, open to the general public, and offers a safe, engaging environment with a nurse on staff or on call. A lunch and two snacks are included, and early registration is encouraged!

Eaglet Program (N - PK)The Eaglet Program is open to students who are entering Nursery or Pre-K, but all students must be at least 3 years of age and toilet trained. The program is centered around age-appropriate activities for our youngest campers. Weekly themed activities encourage campers to socialize while engaging in fun learning adventures. Students also enjoy riding bikes, summer splash, music, arts and crafts, and movement activities.

Junior Program (K - 2)The Junior Program is open to students who are entering Kindergarten through Second Grade. The Junior program offers a variety of activities throughout the day. These activities include arts and crafts, sports, music, cooking, summer splash, bike riding, block room exploration, and Legos.

Senior Program (3 - 8)The Senior Program is open to students who are entering Third through Eighth grade. Senior program offers a variety of activities throughout the day. During elective time, students can choose from activities such as the Counselor in Training program, community service, art, or technology. Other activities include sports, music, cooking, STEM activities and time in the game room. The senior group will often be split into two sections grades 3-5 and grades 6-8.

Club Scientific: Computer Game Creator-Coding (Week 1)

June 17 - June 21 10:30 am - 2:30 pm Ages: 6-12 Price: $ 365Meet Dash, Dot and Ozobot. Using robots campers will participate in maze challenges and obstacle courses. These educational robots walk students through coding and programming using fun interactive games where student build and test their skills in math and help them to think further to solve their interactive games. Students will learn how to code their robots to do different commands.

Summer Learning Program: Welcome Summer(Week 1)

Welcome summer with the first week of summer learning camp!  Campers will design a summer solstice lantern, build a maze, create a freeze pop holder and make homemade chalk.  Campers will read stories related to summer as well as begin an age appropriate summer journal. Dr. Seuss Literacy Program (Week 2) FULL

Club Scientific: Lego Builders-Lego City (Week 2)

June 24 - June 28 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm Ages: 6 - 9 Price: $ 365

Campers will build a Lego city with moving parts, imagination and guided directions. By using the themes of construction and travel, campers will learn about machines, gears and pulleys. Campers will receive lots of suggestions for ideas but are encouraged to use their own creativity and imagination. In addition to building our city, we will break each day for a special project including Lego mazes and zip lines. Summer Learning Program: STEM (Week 2)

Club Scientific: Brainiacs Physics and Brain Teasers (Week 4)

Rolling, bouncing, racing, zipping, squishing, and more! Like all sciences, physics is all about solving problems and figuring out why things do what they do. In this hands-on, minds-on camp, we will study physics and how it can be used to analyze and solve real-world problems. Campers will be encouraged to make predictions, discuss observations, test and solve near impossible challenges and re-test their ideas if they do not get the desired result on the first try. Hogwarts (Week 4)

Join us for this super fun camp dedicated to all things Harry Potter! During this fun-filled week, students will attend classes in Potions, Care of Magical Creatures, Transfiguration, Herbology, Divination, and more. We will search for the sorcerer's stone, make our own wands, defeat dementors, whomp willows, and more! This camp will concentrate on the first book only. Pre-reading of the books is not necessary (although it does increase students’ enjoyment), and only fun excerpts will be shared. We will be cooking up various edible concoctions (including everyone’s favorite Lemon Fizz!), so please let us know if your child has any food restrictions. On the last day, we will have our end-of-term feast.

Pete the Cat (Week 1)

It’s all good with Pete the Cat or should I say Pete the Kitty.  During this camp, children will listen to a new Pete the Cat or Pete the Kitty story. Club Scientific: Chemistry (Week 3)

Did you know that bubbly, explosive concoctions are all just chemical reactions? We will explore the chemical elements as we have fun creating our own reactions. Using the scientific method, students will explore experiments in chemistry including elephant toothpaste, solubility and mixing acids and bases. So, put on those safety goggles and let’s start mixing!Up, Up and Away (Week 3)

With Legos, the possibilities are endless. This camp is filled with ideas to spark your child’s imagination. Young engineers will learn to build and code robots. Campers will become crime scene investigators during actual crime scene setups! Campers will learn how law enforcement professionals collect evidence and solve crimes. We will discover how biology, chemistry and physics play major roles in investigation. Sample projects: blood analysis, handwriting, fingerprinting, and DNA analysis. Summer Swim: Traveling Program (Week 6)

Brown School has partnered with the Glen Hill Club to provide this opportunity to our campers. Mrs. Gabree will escort these campers as they travel by car to the pool each day. While at the Glen Hill Club they will swim, play on the playground, and eat a bagged lunch which is provided by summer camp. Life guards are provided by the Glen Hill Club. Campers must be at Brown School by 11:30 each day so that they can be transported to the pool. The students will leave the pool at 3:00 and arrive back to Brown School at 3:15 each day. Limited spaces are available so sign up fast.

A for Amigos: Juan and the Magic Beans (Week 8)

August 5 - August 9 8:30 am - 10:30 am Grades: Incoming N-K Price: $ 340

Join Señora Vincent, the Giant, the Golden Goose and Juan as we travel through the popular children's tale "Jack and the Beanstalk" en español! Join KidzArt for a full week of painting.  Have a kid that loves to paint?  Want to build on your painting skills and explore new mediums?  This is the camp for you!  Throughout the week we will explore different mediums from acrylics and watercolor to water soluble graphite. If building castles sound fun, this is a camp for you! Campers will build and learn about a variety of castles. Children will construct block, sand and cardboard castles with a catapult. Who will be living in your castle? Campers will have fun writing about dragons and unicorns.  They will create a flying dragon, a 3D paper unicorn and make an edible unicorn horn to take home and enjoy. Summer Learning Program: Back to School (Week 10)

Architecture (Week 10)

Architecture Camp gives curious kids an opportunity to dive into topics of interest and test out their own ideas. Each day we'll explore a different theme through building activities and design challenges.  Topics may include, but are not limited to: the Zoo, Miniatures, Hogwarts, and Moon Bases! In addition, we'll again be returning to the Mindful Garden for a special project that enhances the built environment. A small class size will allow the architects to present their designs to the class at the end of each day.

*10% sibling discount applies to standard camp rates for 5 full days/week onlyThere will be a $50.00 administrative processing fee for withdrawing from a program within a week of the start date.

There will be an additional fee of $10.00 per 15 minutes for late pick-ups after 6 pm.

During the course of our summer program, photographs and digital images will be used in communications within our community, including our memory wall, the Brown School website and social media accounts. Occasionally student images and recordings will be included in coverage of camp events by area news organizations. In almost all cases, student names are not included. If a name is needed, first names only are given. By initialing on the line, you are stating that we may not use these images and recordings in marketing materials that are expressly used to recruit new campers. _________
