• All camp registration will be online only. • Scholarship recipients should contact Scott Sekulich at [email protected] prior to registration.• Priority registration for Oak Park residents who previously registered for 2020 summer camp begins at 8:30 am on Saturday, May 30.• Registration for all Oak Park residents begins at 8:30 am on Monday, June 1.• A maximum of 8 children will be allowed in each camp. The maximum may be lower depending on age.• Camp will be offered in two-week sessions to reduce exposure risks.• Groups will be separated for the entire day. There will be no crossover or combined activities. • Kids that do not follow instructions will be asked to leave camp. Safe behaviors will be strictly enforced.• Inclusion Support: PDOP will continue to work with WSSRA to provide Inclusion support for participants who register and meet the Participation Guidelines per COVID-19 state mandates (4:1 ratio). Support for inclusion participants will be provided by the PDOP staff. No additional staff will be provided by WSSRA. However, WSSRA will continue to provide training and guidance to PDOP staff throughout the summer. • If possible, PDOP will increase the number of day camp slots available based on safety protocols from the CDC.• The Park District will consider opening specific camps to non-residents later in the summer depending on capacity.

• Guardians will need to conduct temperature checks every morning prior to bringing camper to camp. NO child with a fever will be allowed to attend camp.• Campers will be dropped off curbside to camp staff; no parents/guardians are allowed in buildings other than staff.• Campers will wash hands upon arrival and at least every two hours.• Staff and campers will wear masks when appropriate as defined by CDC.• Campers will be encouraged to stay 6’ apart throughout the day.

Camp Refund PolicyIn the event that you need to cancel a camp, please contact Customer Service immediately at (708) 725-2000. In order to receive a refund, the space must be filled by another child. There will be a $50 cancellation fee charged for all camp refunds except for Virtual Camps which will be a $25 cancellation fee.

Join our qualified summer staff for themed, weekly camp activities that spark creativity and interest within your child. This camp is located to take advantage of our indoor playground as well as spending time outside ex-ploring nature. Activities will be designed following CDC recommendations. Activities will include crafts, games, songs, stories, and more. Children must be toilet trained.

Camp in a BoxJoin us for virtual camp! We will meet twice a day via a secured Zoom meeting for half an hour in the morning and half an hour in the afternoon for some fun activi-ties to break up your day. Each week will be a different theme. Activities will include arts & crafts, science, movement, and more. Supplies will be delivered (Oak Park Residents only) at the beginning of each session for activities that are planned.

DOLE CENTER 8am -3pm

Children will participate in four arts workshops with their camp group throughout the day. Arts instruction will be 1 ½ hours per workshop and and will be taught by talented art instructors with assistance from their camp counselor. Be-tween workshops children will spend time out-side enjoying nature as well as play games and activities with their camp pod. Modifications to instruction and lessons will be made based on individual and class needs.

Nature ArtLet’s use what Mother Nature supplied us with! Leaves, sunshine, flowers, sticks, rocks, etc. can be utilized to create beautiful and one of a kind pieces of art. Participants will explore new designs and projects in this eco-friendly class.

TextilesExplore weaving, sewing, embroidery, crocheting, knitting, and more in this class. Projects and materials will vary and participants will have the opportunity to complete a variety of pieces each week.

PaintingParticipants will utilize a variety of painting materials in this class including: watercolor, tempera, acrylic, alcohol inks, etc. Each week will focus on a new material with several project possibilities per day.

DrawingParticipants will utilize a variety of drawing materials in this class including: oil & chalk pastels, charcoal, colored pencils, ink, graphite, etc. Each week will focus on a new material with several project possi-bilities per day.

3D Art3 dimensional art pieces come in all shapes and sizes! Work with Clay, Wood, Paper Mache, found objects, and more in this class. Participants will work with different themes/subjects each week to create a variety of pieces!

Jewelry MakingMake some wearable art and accessories in this new class. Explore different jewelry making techniques and materials. New projects will be introduced weekly.

TheaterIf you’re child loves pretend, performing live, and has a flair for the dramatic, Theater might be for them! Participants will work together creating original skits and dramatic/comedic performances.

Creative MovementLearn fun dance moves and create your own in this physical art class. Participants will enjoy music and movement in this program with instruction from one of our dance teachers.

Mixed MediaLearn to make assemblages and collages using dif-ferent media. Make use of different materials includ-ing cloth, paper, wood and found objects in this fun class. New projects will be introduced weekly.

Poetry & LyricsExpress yourself through the art of writing. Create original song lyrics and poems inspired by a variety of subjects and themes. You could be the next Shel Silverstein or Taylor Swift.

AnimationMake your drawings move through the art of animation. Participants will create their own short cartoons utilizing traditional animation, 2D animation, 3D animation, motion graphics and stop motion.

Ceramics-in StudioClay every day! Hand build wonderful ceramic pieces with instruction from our wonderful professional ceramic artist. Learn the tricks and tips about building, kiln firing, and glazing.

Film/PhotographyIf you have ever wondered what it takes to make a movie or compose an amazing photograp, this class is made for you. Learn about all the rolls needed to produce a film and work together with your friends to create an original work of art!

ComicsSpend your mornings creating original characters and story lines drawn by you! Participants will receive instruction on how to take their ideas and transfer them to paper in a polished way by practicing their drawing and coloring skills along with some story telling aids.

PrintmakingExplore the wonderful world of printmaking and its four main types. Each week, participants with learn about a new style and create a piece of art using those techniques.

MosaicsCreate amazing pictures and/or patterns by arranging together small colored pieces of hard material, such as stone, tile, or glass in this unique class. A new project will be introduced weekly.
