SPORT TYKES

A fun, non-competitive program designed to teach young individuals

basic ball and sports skills. Through a variety of sports and activities, children will have

the opportunity to further develop cooperative play and social skills such as turn-taking,

sharing and initiating peer interactions.

AGE: 4-6

DATES: Wednesdays, July 20th- August 24th

TIME: 9:30-10:15am

WHERE: Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent

COST: $15.00

SAILING

Come sail away in our Access Boom Boats! Join us out at Erieau Yacht club and let

instructors from Ontario Sailing show you the ropes! This program is about fun,

independence and learning.

AGE: 7+

DATE: July 25th- July 29th

TIME: Two sessions available (9:00am-12:00pm) or (1:00pm-4:00pm). *Please specify

which session you would like your child to attend!*

WHERE: Erieau Yacht Club

COST: FREE

*Please remember to send your child with a snack, bathing suit,

towel and change of clothes*

The Zones of Regulation; Winning & Losing in Sport:

An opportunity for your child to learn in a group format about self-regulation and

emotional control while participating in cooperative activities. The focus of these

sessions will be for your child to learn how to identify emotions through times of stress

and frustration, and to learn how to put these strategies to use.

AGE: 8-12

DATE: Wednesdays, August 3rd-August 31

TIME: 3:30-4:15pm

SIB SHOP

Brothers and sisters of Centre clients are invited to attend THREE fun filled evenings to

learn more about the Centre, various abilities, to meet new friends, and HAVE FUN!

SUMMER SWIMMING, 4 WEEK MINI BLOCKS:

The Recreational Swimming program at the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-

Kent is designed for children who experience difficulties participating in community-

based aquatics programs. These lessons are taught 1:1 or in small group format.

Participants are introduced to the basics of swimming, and goals are developed based

on the needs of each swimmer.

AGE: 3+

DATE: 4 week blocks available in both June and July

SENSORY SPLASH

An innovative approach to aquatics at the CTC! This unique program combines a multi-

sensory experience with an aquatic environment. Participants can explore and play

while enjoying a quality, non-directive leisure experience. Join us as we combine music,

lighting effects, and tactile objects to create a non-threatening and enjoyable

environment for all!

AGE: Open to all clients on the CTC Recreation caseload

DATE: 8 week blocks beginning on Tuesday June 7th

Did you know that the centre is now renting out the pool for birthday parties!?!?

Now you can swim, and have your cake too! Different party packages available.

Call Mitch or Alison today for more information!

**Please Note: pool will only be rented to clients of the CTC**

Registration begins on Wednesday May 18th at 9:00am

Registration will NOT be taken early
