Summary of the 5 websites that I have found

In this presentation I am going to be doing a summary about 5 websites which are about the American TV series The Walking Dead and I am going to be analysing each website and saying which website has more information about the series

The History of the Show

The Walking Dead was originally a comic book series written and created by Robert Kirkman which have been very successful and the comic book series was first issued in 2003 and has won awards such as the Eisner Award for Best Continuing Series in 2010

The Walking Dead first came out in 2010 and the first episode got a view of 5.35 million the show got great reviews so the show got renewed for a second season with extended amount of episodes. The second season went successfully and got nominated for different awards such as the writers guild of America award and the golden globe awards and the show ever since has been renewed for a third and forth season in December 2012 . The TV show has great reviews especially for the season 3 premiere with 10.9 million views.

Ever since the walking dead has been on TV further things have developed e.g. different videos games released for the show ect.

Website one

The first website that I found with information about the walking dead was channel 5 . There is quite a bit of information on this website but the information is not that informative it only has episodes to view a brief information page about the characters for example it just explains who a character is and that’s all the information they provide for them. The website also shows cast photos and some video clips so I find that channel 5 does provide information but not a lot of information which goes into detail about the TV series.

Website 2

The second website that I found provides much more information than the last one because the website provides information such as character profiles episodes games, a news letter photos shop ect but the website still provides basic information about the TV show and its characters it still have a brief description about the characters and it doesn't go into detail about the characters so this website is an improvement from the first one but it still isn't completely up to scratch

Website 3The third website provides very little information about the TV show , the website is mainly to promote the walking dead magazine because the pages which are displayed are news and features which just describes what's in the latest issue and there other links showing you how to describe to the walking dead magazine and how you can purchase back issues so this website doesn’t provides no information about the TV show just promotes the magazine .

Website 4

The forth website that I found provides all the information that you can get about the walking dead it has different sections talking about the TV show , the comic book, the video games and it has character profiles for every single character in the series including characters which have only appeared once and it tells you everything about the characters , there back story's all about them before the show and it tells every moment they had in the show and it even tells you information about what the characters killed e.g. number of zombies killed , characters that have been killed ect.

The other good thing about this website is that it tells you the whole story about the walking dead in perfect detail explaining what happens every moment and it also explains what happened in the past before the

zombie outbreak began.

Website 5

The fifth website does provide some information about the show for example it shows an episode guide giving a brief description about each episode and it also gives you the opportunity to watch episodes online and it lets you view the actors profiles who star in the show and provides information about the past shows that the actors have started in and the website also shows the publics reviews about the show so the website does provide a brief description about the TV show but it doesn’t give all the information that it should do.

Conclusion

Overall I think that the forth website that I found provides the most information because the walking dead wiki website provides all the information that you could ever need about the TV show, the characters, the plot ect and it also goes into back story information and characters which have only had a brief role in the TV show so walking dead wiki is the best website that I have found yet for information about the TV show .
