We have no way of knowing exactly what we will be getting until we approve the final stones for the job. The slab will determine the final size of the pieces on the wall. Because it is difficult to approximate the variation we will see I have approximated as best as I can the color given the stone photos I have been sent from various suppliers. The two examples seen on the right better represent what I expect the final stones sizes to be.

Master Plan experience resulting in the curation of New York, Istanbul and Beijing exhibits addressing urbanism and technology. Data pertaining to population growth and the demand for housing were translated into visual graphics to inform and communicate the need for metaobolic design.

While pursuing my Masters degree at Columbia University in New York City, I focused not only on architecture but specifically, the communication of design to architecture’s public. Capitalizing on Columbia’s wide array of resources and commitment to breadth in training, I gained skills and experience in multiple markets- from housing to corporate commercial—and how design can serve these sectors in communicating to their global market. Grants awarded to me from the school created further opportunities to focus on design communication through supporting my work on the curation of exhibits, such as Experiments in Motion featured by the Huffington Post, New York and The Revival of the Halic Sea an exhibit for the City Officials of Istanbul.

1. Exploration of foreign markets provided visual insight and innovative techniques to communicating information globally.

2. Specialized in the marketing division of architecture through various classes with highly respectable graphic design mentors throughout New York.

3. Crafted the practice of Presentation and Proposal development for client bids.

4. Trained in multiple software platforms to convey and relate design concepts using various outlets to support research based design.

COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY GRANT 2012Master plan and architectural proposal for the redevelopment of the New York City. The program included a 3.5 MSQFT master plan to incorporate mixed residential and retail program as well sustainable integrated systems to generate a self sustaining development. The grant resulted in a presentation to the City Council and Exhibit for the rejuvenation of the City.

A dynamic and highly flexible design reflects and supports the brand of care offered by Modern Spine, a medical practice specializing in spinal disorders. The main entrance opens into a spa-cious waiting room, imbued with natural light and featuring a balance of warm wood veneer and sleek, glossy materials. This combination of con-temporary features and warm materials is carried out throughout the clinical and office areas with the use of wood vinyl flooring and glass walls. Exam rooms feature sliding doors which maxi-mize the square footage within, and clerestories in the walls allow natural light to flow into the corridors. The plan is organized around a loop corridor that promotes a smooth work flow between the administrative offices and the clinical areas. The use of modular walls in the exam rooms allows for the integration of accessories that puts all equip-ment within easy reach of the care providers. As the practice expands, the moveable, modular walls and millwork will provide them the ability to rearrange their office space with little to no additional construction, and within a matter of hours. This flexibility is promoted in the ‘bench-ing’ configuration of the sit-to-stand height nurse stations, giving Modern Spine the ability to add work stations in the future.
