During 2017 IBL held several activities that raised the awareness of Supreme Court Regulation
13/2016 on Corporate Criminal Liability (CCL). Beginning with a one-day seminar in February
2017 discussing the challenges and opportunities for private sector and then continuing the in-
depth discussion on Business Executive Briefing conducted in October 2017. IBL also organized
the Indonesia Integrity Initiative forum in Surabaya to explore the challenges faced by private
sector in Surabaya in facing CCL issues. By the end of 2017 IBL launches a pocket book on
Supreme Court Regulation 13/2016 where private sector can understand CCL more easily and
simply. IBL also had the opportunity to participate in the development of competency standards
for Certified Integrity Officer with KPK.
In this year, IBL launched several tools as an effort to improve the integrity and business ethics,
namely Learning Management System (www.learning.indonesiaintegrityinitiative.org), a web-
based module for studying business ethics, and SOLUSI (www.solusi.ibl.or.id), which is a channel
for private sector in preventing corruption. IBL with Polling Center conducted research on health
accountability survey in 3 provinces in Indonesia. All of the above activities are manifestations of
one of the IBL missions, integrity.
Then in carrying out one of the other IBL missions of capacity, during 2017, IBL conducted
several youth empowerment programs in Indonesia, especially in West Java and Riau Islands
through the Next Generation (focusing on increasing employability for diploma student majoring in
IT), Empower Youth for Work (focusing on improving the capacity of young people in coastal
areas affected by climate change), Equip Youth (focusing on increasing employability for
vocational students), Skilled Youth (focusing on enhancing youth employment &
entrepreneurship).
Last but not least, our last mission on sustainability to build partnerships among the private
sector, government, and NGOs to achieve sustainable goals. In April 2017 IBL organized ASEAN
CSR Fellowship Jakarta. IBL consistently organizes one day training on Partnership. In 2017, we
organized a training on partnership for sustainable development. IBL also participates in APAD -
PLANAS PRB workshop in Jakarta and a 4-day skills development course for those involved in
brokering and managing multi-stakeholder partnerships.
These activities would not be accomplished well without your supports and contribution as our
partners. We would like to thank to our annual contributors, program donors, sponsors, and
implementing partners. Our special appreciation goes to all respected members of the Board of
Patron, Board of Supervisor, and Board of Management, for their dedicated time and energy.
Their enduring commitment and support have led IBL towards its current stage. And we would
also like to thanks to all individuals who contribute their expertise and knowledge for making all of
those achievements happened.
IBL believes that it is our time to revitalize our mission in order to give more contributions for
Indonesia. In 2018, IBL will conduct Social Responsibility Conference, Business Integrity Forum,
Business Capacity Forum, researches and other events and programs in order to strengthen our
main pillars in integrity, capacity and sustainability in doing responsible business.
