Summary
I have completed my undergraduate course from Lady Brabourne College, Kolkata with
Geography Honours and my post-graduation in Geography from Calcutta University. I
engaged myself in my Ph.D work under Professor. S.C. Mukhopadhyay at Calcutta University
on Landform and Land use with special emphasis on fluvial aggradation / degradation
process, landform deformation and completed in 2009. Worked on several aspects/methods of
morphotectonics and fluvial geomorphology (field-based, Instrumental survey techniques and
analytical models, micro landforms etc.). Concerned about diverse morphological
regimes, landscape chnages and hydro-sediment interaction. Worked on both riverscape
dynamics and hazardous issues. My future research is based on applied sub-disciplines of
tectonics and fluvial landscape, sediment ecology and buffer geoscape pattern . Interested in
discussion of interlinking between riverscape with constructions, riverine water-sediment
health and adjoining landscape suitability.
