Summary
It was when I reached 18 that I decided to do something different. Thus, I made up my mind and came to Finland ( Rovaniemi to be more specific) to pursue the bachelor programme in tourism at Lapland University of Applied Sciences ( formerly known as Rovaniemi University of Applied Sciences).
Education:
Before my life in Finland, I was a student at Trung Vuong highschool. Despite not being a prestigious educational institution, I acquired relevant and helpful knowledge that supports my career possibilities (such as my knowledge for English).
During my second year, I have gone to Brussels, Belgium as an exchange student at Erasmushogeschool Brussels (EhB). Not only was my exchange experience memorable, I also obtained useful knowledge concerning marketing and destination management. On top of that, I also had the opportunity to learn another language (Flemish).
I am currently a third year student at Lapland University of Applied Sciences, Rovaniemi, who is working on her thesis. My bachelor programme offers diverse knowledge concerning various aspects of tourism, and I have taken an interest in marketing and customer relationship management (CRM).
About me:
I prefer working individually as I feel at ease working at my own pace. Regardless, I am familiar with working together with others, as I have done a great number of group projects, and studying in an international environment has helped me improve my group work capabilities. I am not a leader, but I am a good follower, and wish to contribute as much as possible. I am hard working, and enjoy being of help for others. On the other hand, I also highly value honesty and fairness when it comes to work, which is the reason why I had disciplined myself at a young age to stay just and honest. Being humble is also what I strive to do.
I have always regarded my decision to study abroad as a journey to discover about myself and to gain professional working experience. I wanted to change, and I believe I have changed positively. The journey has yet come to an end, but I have gotten familiarized with various cultures, meeting individuals who have inspired and changed me, and so much more.
