Sulcoflex Trifocal: Presenter Profiles
A new surgical opportunity
Last year there were over 500,000 cataract procedures performed in
the UK1 with approximately 92% of patients receiving monofocal IOLs1.
Over a period of five years that equates to nearly 1.25 million people
(2.5 million eyes) in the UK with spectacle-free vision for distance activities
but needing to wear glasses for near and intermediate vision activities.
Many of these people long for a life without the daily frustration of glasses.
In Spring 2019, Rayner will be launching a national
media campaign that directly targets this group of
pseudophakic patients. The campaign will stimulate
desire for presbyopia correction with Sulcoflex
Trifocal, the World’s first trifocal supplementary
IOL. A dedicated Sulcoflex Trifocal website will
include a Surgeon Finder tool so that people
can contact their nearest or preferred Sulcoflex
Trifocal surgeon for a consultation.
Prior to the media campaign, Rayner will be
running Surgical Skills Programme workshops
to educate refractive and cataract surgeons on the
Sulcoflex Trifocal technology. Surgeons that attend
a workshop will receive Sulcoflex Trifocal accreditation
and will be listed on the Surgeon Finder tool.
