Negative numbers comprise a dependent phenomenon, but they can still exist objectively. The difficulty is found in isolating negative numbers from positive numbers while comparing them to the same. A spatial example would help in that it would be as objective as it is natural. This writing argues for the case that such an example does indeed exist.
