• Removal of Flash-Based Administration User Interface.

• All major browsers are ending support for Adobe Flash by the end of 2020. The administrator experience offered by the SAP Fiori interface is now consistent with the rest of the SAP SuccessFactors product suite.

• In previous versions the Adobe Flash-based administration user interface was the only administration interface available, and in 1H 2020, was available in parallel with the SAP Fiori administration user interface.

• SAP Fiori is a new user experience (UX) for SAP software and applications. ... SAP Fiori enables multiple device applications that allow users to start a process on their desktop/laptops and to continue that process on a smartphone or on a tablet.

• What is it?

You get an improved user experience when adding items in the new Learning Administration UI.

As Flash UI isn’t supported from 2011, the legacy Add Item has been incorporated in the new Learning Administration UI with additional fields to provide more details about the item for learners to benefit from it. Some of its highlights are:

• All the fields in Add New of Items including custom fields reflect the settings done in Entity Configuration.

• The settings done in User Settings reflect in the New Item page.• All the required data are validated before the item is created.• The Revision Number field can accept values that are up to 90 characters long.

• Why is it important?

The addition of items to the new Learning Administration UI enhances user experience and brings parity between the functionalities of the old UI and the new one.

Add New Items (LRN-85207)

• What is it?

New fields are now available as tokens for customers to customize or create a Certification of Completion template for Item and Program report categories.

The above-mentioned fields enable administrators to further customize the Certificate of Completion template. Some fields are also available as part of legal compliance.

• What is it?

We added support for printed exams on assessments. An assessment can now be printed so that the student can be administered the exam in hard copy format, and their scores can be entered manually by the administrator using the scoring interface.


Printed exams allow for more flexible assessment administration.

You can also generate individually numbered, unique exams, as required by your enterprise or organization.

Printed Exams in Assessments (LRN-61864)

• What is it?

We added support for proctored exams on assessments. An assessment can now require that the instructor enter a proctor code for a student to begin the exam, and localized messages can be added to the exam to communicate clear instructions to the student.


Proctored exams allow for more controlled and validated assessments. You have the option to require that the proctor is an authorized instructor for the course, as required by your enterprise or organization.

• What is it?

We redesigned the way users launch and complete a blended course on mobile, tablet, and web-based platforms to improve the user experience for Learning. This includes updates to the way a learner registers for a class and launches the online content for a blended course.


Course home was updated to fully support blended courses because our customers have asked for an updated user experience. There will be more course home functionality in future releases.

• What is it?

You can provide a different email address in the Application Notification Reply-To Email field for system email notifications.

The email address in the Application Notification Reply-To Email field is populated based on the data configured in the Application Notification Admin Email, or the Application Notification User Email fields.


Letting customers use a different e-mail address enhances their user experience by letting customers decide the stakeholders they want to notify by defining relevant e-mail addresses of their choice.

Reply-To Email Address Change Option (LRN-69310)

• What is it?

Enhanced authentication for Plateau Report Designer has been introduced to improve overall security.

Plateau Report Designer (PRD) was a standalone tool, which has now been integrated with SAP SuccessFactors Learning. The user can access the PRD tool from Learning Administration.


The new authentication process ensures secure access to Plateau Report Designer when accessing from Learning Administration.

• What is it?

The Sort option for the Users entity now includes new options to enable users to further sort items by date.

The following sorting options are now available:

• Sort Completed Items by Completion date• Sort Assigned Items by Required Date or Assigned Date• Sort Assignment Profiles by Date Added

You see an improvement in the search experience when you sort users by your desired date.

Updated Sorting for Users Entity (LRN-78799)

• What is it?

License User Type is available as a new search option when you search for users in Learning.

The types of License User Types are Active and Functional users, who are added using the SAP SuccessFactors User connector.

The SAP SuccessFactors User connector supports the two values of ACTIVE and FUNCTIONAL, which are case-sensitive. You can however, use custom values for this configuration

You can use custom fields in the SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite and map it to the SAP SuccessFactors Learning license type.

However, you cannot use a custom field in SAP SuccessFactors Learning for license type. This is done using the following configuration: user.field.mapping.data.LICENSE_USER_TYPE=

The additional search option enhances the experience in the search selector by helping you find users based on the License User Type.

• What is it?

We added a new option to the CONTENT_IMPORT configuration that defines the types of files that aren't supported when importing AICC and SCORM format zip files.

This is a security enhancement that allows administrators to restrict specific types of files that could contain malicious content.

• What is it?

Two new fields are available when creating and editing sites and when configuring user-created accounts, Default User Role ID and Default License User Type. When users create their own accounts, these default field values are used.

• Prerequisites

As with all user roles, the options visible in the Default User Role ID field are dependent on the administrator's permissions.

• What is it?

You can search by Status in the Assignment Profiles tab for both the Item and Curricula entities.

The search box was previously labeled as Search by ID or Description and now is displayed as Search.

The search experience has been enhanced, which was previously limited to searching only by ID and Description.

• What is it?

The virtual learning service now supports Zoom as a virtual meeting room vendor for both Zoom Meeting and Zoom Webinar.

There are a few considerations when using Zoom as a virtual meeting room vendor

Instructors must be valid licensed users on the Zoom virtual learning server.

This feature was requested by customers.

• What is it?

Administrators can now paste a comma-separated list of values into a Rules input field for an Assignment Profile in the new Learning Administration user interface.

• Note:

The values can't contain commas. The only commas permitted are the separators.

We've added this functionality to the new Learning Administration user interface to provide parity with the legacy Adobe Flash version.

Assignment Profile Rules Support Comma-Separated Values (LRN-89919)

• What is it?

When administrators add a new class or schedule a class, with the selection of a facility, the time zone for the class will automatically change to match the selected facility's time zone. Administrators can manually change the time zone, as needed.

If the facility doesn't have a time zone defined, or if there’s no facility selected for a class, the time zone defaults to the administrator's preferred time zone.

This feature was requested by customers.

• What is it?

SAP SuccessFactors Learning now features enhancements to the Learning Plan API to improve the experience for customers and partners in portal situations.

Now you can view the source and image URL as part of the OData API response to identify all courses. You can expand program details and filter your Learning Plan OData API response based on specific attributes such as Item ID or Source ID.


This release features updated parameters and filters to ensure more efficient interactions and reduce the double call backs for incremental details.

Search results. Also, you can have a better view of which fields you've selected.

• What is it?

• SAP have added a new option Roll up comments from the other sessions based on the same template in

the Manage Calibration Templates tool. After the option is enabled, reviewers can see the following two

tabs on the comment dialog box that is opened from a calibration session's detail page:

• From This Session: Includes comments that are made for an employee in the current session. You can add,

edit, and delete comments in this tab.

• From Other Sessions: Includes read-only comments that are made for an employee in the other sessions

based on the same template of the session. You cannot add comments in this tab.

• SAP built this feature to help reviewers view all the comments made for an employee in different levels of

calibration sessions, so they can make better informed decisions on employees' ratings.

• What is it?

• Succession planners can now hide the positions of incumbent contingent workers in the Succession Org

Chart and Position Tile view.

• This feature is available to all nomination methods: role-person, legacy succession positions, and Metadata

Framework (MDF) positions. This feature is not applied to the scenarios of multiple incumbents in one

position.

• SAP built this feature because succession planners usually don't manage plans for the positions of

incumbent contingent workers. By hiding these positions in the Succession Org Chart and Position Tile

view, succession planners can focus on managing plans for positions of internal employees.

• What is it?

• You can now approve or reject pending nominees who belong to your target population in talent pools.

• The pending status consists of Pending, Change Pending, and Deletion Pending.

• Change Pending - Indicates that changing readiness or notes for existing nominations has not been

approved.

• Deletion Pending - Indicates that removing a nominee from the talent pool has not been approved.

• What is it?

• You can now add hyperlinks, including deep links to specific pages of SAP SuccessFactors, in Talent

Search.

• After you enter a link title and address in Admin Center, the information icon () appears in the upper-right

corner of the Talent Search page. The link title is used as the tooltip for the icon. By choosing this icon,

users can navigate to the address that you entered.

• With this feature, users can navigate to your internal documentation or other SAP SuccessFactors pages to

get more information.
