Bunnings Visit
On Tuesday, 2 people from Bunnings in Forbes came to our school to work with the children in the garden. Students learned more about worm farms and about planting fruit trees. The afternoon was very interactive where the students helped to put the worm farm together and planted the trees. Thank you Hannah for your effort organising this day.

come along and have your say about where you would like our school to be heading. We will be
looking at what we do well as well as what we can improve on. It

On Tuesday the preschool joined the school for the Bunnings visit. The children learnt about worm farms and they are now responsible for feeding and watering the worms on a Friday. They have their own apple tree as well, donated by Bunnings.
On Tuesday afternoon the children got some mail! The Star Room children in Grenfell had sent some postcards and written a letter to them. Kim asked would they like to write back and they said “Yes”.
Jack suggested they could send some photos as well. We will let the children take the photos.
At the beginning of term eve asked for a Fairy Garden on the oval. We started on a small scale, making a little Fairy Garden to sit on a table inside so we could practice our small gardening skills. On Tuesday we asked Mrs Meier if we could
make one at the bottom of the pepper tree. She said yes so we went outside after lunch for a planning meeting! The school children are interested in contributing as well. The boys were not impressed (understandably) so we have decided to build a mini truck park as well. It looks like it will be a fun filled few weeks. If you have any ideas or anything you would like to donate to either project please let us know. Or maybe you would like to just come and join in the fun off making a couple of mini worlds!

Video Conference on Life Cycles
On Thursday we participated in a video conference that taught us a little more about the life cycle of Phasmids (stick insects). Students were actively involved in the conference, using the interactive whiteboard to answer questions. 2 other schools
across NSW were also a part of this event.
