April 20 is the Earth Week Walk and Roll Day! Students are encouraged to ride their bikes, walk, takethe bus/shuttle, or carpool to school that day. Animal (theschool mascot) will be greeting students and givinghugs/high fives. "One less car" promotes a healthierplanet, healthier bodies, and reduced congestion in theschool zone... and is FUN!

SAFE ROUTES TO GUNN AND PALY! Join us on April 28 for a special safe routes to Gunn and Paly High School workshop.

This workshop will take place after school in the JLS Cafetorumfrom 3:20pm to 5:30pm. This is a free event. No RSVP isnecessary. Families are also encouraged to attend. There will bepizza, refreshments,snacks and over $500 in door prizes.

Palo Alto Safe Routes to School and Wheel Kids Bicycle Club, Inc. are offering bicyclesafety skills classes for children 11­14 years old, taught by a League of American BicyclistsCertified Instructor. Classroom presentation covers the basics of traffic law, hand signals,lane positioning and intersections. Students learn to avoid the 5 major causes of car­bikecollisions.
