3. Executive Summary/Abstract (not more than 250 words)

Students are the power of future generation is not just the saying. It is almost true

in real world too. It is due to the fact that the future of India relies completely on the

physical as well as the mental ability of the young minds. But, initially all children were

the mud/clay on the hands of the every teachers. To model them as the beautiful

instrument/material is the duty of all teachers in this world. That is why, the field of

teaching and the teachers were praised more than the god. For achieving that goal, the

holistic development of the students is the only target to be inculcated in the minds of

every academic institution. Subject knowledge will gives them marks. But, the question

arises on their intellectual development. This was the sparking question raised on the

minds of our school teachers. Instead of cleaning our society, we have to clean our

surrounding is the fact. So, instead of going to other developing schools and teaching

them some innovation, we planned to renovate ourselves and our students who had

believed on us. So, we had completely changed our academic curriculum in such a way

that the academic and the intellectual development of the student make them unique in

this world to sustain a successful life.

a. Focus on key points and findings

Our Kingston school had taken enormous effort to make our students a unique

student in the society.

When we took some initiatives, the students had taken it in a positive way and

showed back their talents with lots of enthusiasm.

We tasted the success of our effort on the development of our students.

4. Introduction

a. Challenging situation in the current society

According to my point of view, every children must be equipped with sound academics

as well as the in the extra-curricular activities from KG to grade 12. Then only, the students will

be able to face all their future problems all alone in their life, without depending on others. But,

the current education system and the mentality of the parents do not fulfill it. Parents insist

children to get more marks. Education system also grades the students based on the marks. If the

marks are the only point to grade the students, then

Why the rank-holders commit suicide for small problems in their future?

Why the rank-holders could not do the practical jobs in an effective manner?

Because, they were not mentally prepared to face their problems and success equally in life.

Their emotional intelligence completely fails and makes them to take wrong decisions when they

get failure. And, what is the use in getting more marks in the exam?

To overcome this great issue, the holistic development of the child plays a great role.

Hence, we planned to give our students a holistic academic curriculum that nurtures the spirit of

leadership, personality development, intellectual life skills, etc. in their very young age. Our

tired-less efforts and great enthusiasm is helping us to achieve this great goal.

5. Case Presentation

a. Problems identified among the students

Students good in academics are not good/interested in extra-curricular activities.

Students do not know the moral values and hence, do not show respect/kindness

towards each other.

Students do not know the basic values of life and could not distinguish good/bad.

Students were not aware of their life school to be developed during their school

period of time.

Parents do not care about the inherent talent of the children.

b. Analysis of the problem

The continuous striking of all the problems had made us to completely change our

academic curriculum to give equal importance for the co-scholastic and scholastic

aspects.

Various activities had been implemented in the assembly, club and activity

periods to derive their maximum potential.

Students of all the classes were taken to all the outside competitions conducted by

the other schools, institutes etc. without considering the failure or success, and

want only our student exposure to get participate.

c. Objectives of our school

To integrate the scholastic and co-scholastic achievement of every children.

Promotion of their life skills and their moral values.

To insist leadership in their young minds by nominating the leaders for various

classes and sports.

d. Planning done

1. Assembly-School assembly is divided into two sections. One is for the KG

section alone and other for the primary, middle and higher classes. In the KG

assembly, the students will perform some activity on the stage. Same way, the

students of primary and higher classes will conduct everyday in very efficient

manner. All the students are encouraged to be a part in the assembly content. This

brings out the talents of the young minds and courage to speak out in the huge

assembly.

2. Notice board decoration-Every month, a theme will be fixed by the principal

such as mountains, birds, space, unsung heroes of India, etc. Based on that theme,

all students must bring out the photos, news content, picture cuttings from

newspaper, drawings and paintings, etc. and paste on the class-wise allotted

notice boards. The best notice board would be selected and awarded in the

assembly. This will induce the children to try and find out more on the given

topic that in turn improves their attitude in learning.

3. Decorative KG Classrooms-The teachers of the KG section were skilled

enough to make their classes more attractive for the small kids to understand and

enjoy the basic concepts in a very joyful manner.

4. Innovative project works-The students were involved in making up the charts

and models of their lesson topics in the class room during their subject hours

itself. This activity had in turn developed groupism and collaboration work.

5. Inter-class activities- Every Friday, one hour is allotted for the co-scholastic

development of our children. Various competitions such as fancy dress, essay

writing, block and tackle, topsy and turvy, dance, talent show, kite making, poster

making, mask making, tell and tale, clay modeling, etc. were conducted so far to

bring out their talents. Specially, for KG we put maximum effort to conduct

various competitions to make them come to stage and start their stage

performances.

6. Club hour-Every Monday, one hour is allotted as the club activity period on

various areas such as Literature, Dramatics, Science, Dramatics, Physical

education, Vocal, etc. Students were divided as per their self-interest and guided

with the concerned group of teachers.

7.Digital LED TVs /Smart class rooms-LED TVs were fixed in front of every

classes, where the birthday wishes and the achievement records would be

displayed in order to create more interest among the children. Class rooms were

fixed with smart boards to equip them with subject relevant video tutorials.

8. Moral values-Students were advised to contribute a book to library/plant tree

in the school garden during their birthday celebration. This would improve their

helping tendency.

9. Theme day celebration-The academics is equally supported with the

celebration of the theme days such as World Environment Day, World Ocean

Day, World Postal Day, Halloween day, etc. to make them aware on the social

issues.

10. CBSE Board instructed celebrations-The grand events such as Swachh

Bharat Abhiyan, Patel’s birthday, Linguistic assembly, etc. is being celebrated in

well defined manner with the involvement of all the teachers and the students.

e. Success Criteria- As per our expectation, when the students were given an opportunity,

they participate and won in all the competitions in a very efficient manner. To our

surprise, the students active participation had brought out their inherent talents. Not only

the students won in their competition, we, the teachers also won in or target.

f. Implementation-The planning as per our objective were implemented in our curriculum, is

being practiced and more concentration is given to the KG and Primary as they have lot of

talents to be developed.

g. Challenges faced in implementation-Few parents do not allow their children to participate in

the Extra-curricular activities and insisted to concentrate only in academics. To solve this, we

explained the need of co-scholastic achievements during the parent meet and convinced them.

h. Resources involved (both Human and Material)-Teachers, students, parents and the

management

6. Evidences of success

Photographs were attached wherever needed.

7. Beneficiary Satisfaction-Our concerns regarding the overall achievement of our students has

been rectified with the slight changes implemented in the academic curriculum. We have

succeeded and being successful in all our efforts being taken and implemented in our school.

8. Any other area not mentioned above-Work education is successfully carried out.

9. Concluding Remarks

As the quote says, “Be the change; you want to see in this world”. We have changed our

attitude towards the overall curriculum of our school. We wanted to share about our achievement

made out of our effort in this case report. If every school develop this curriculum, Our future

India would not have unemployment problem at all, as everyone would be developed out of their

interest.
