ELIGIBILITY For 5 year B.Sc-MD course (equivalent to MBBS):

- Have minimum average of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or biotechnology) in class 12 with

pass in each subject individually and pass in English. And have Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Other Eligibility Information:

Students need to clear regular weekly and semester examinations in Philippines.

On return to India they have to clear the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination also known as the MCI

Screening Test.

Competent students, good in studies, motivated to study medicine, with good education record,

passionate about sciences are encouraged to apply. Students should be able to read and write and

speak ENGLISH properly as the entire course is carried out in English medium.

Four Years Duration for those with Bachelors Degree: Students who have a minimum of two or three

year full time Bachelors Degree or Diploma in a medical or medical related subject – such as Nursing,

Physiotherapy, Psychology, Medical Lab Technician, B.Sc in Biology, BAMS, BUMS etc which is equal to a

pre-medical course are eligible to apply for direct admission to the 4 year medical course which

commences in June each year. In addition they should have passed class 11 and 12 from a recognized

board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Students should apply before January in the year of admission and submit both the mark or grade sheet

and a copy of the Degree or Diploma for approval by the University. After the University approves the

pre-medical, they have to give the NMAT test in the Philippines. Registration for the NMAT is usually in

the Month of January – February each year and the Examination is held in the month of March / April in

Students applying for 4 year medical course will go to the Philippines and give the NMAT in March / April

then they can join the course in June.

ELIGIBILITY: For 4 years MD Course (equivalent to MBBS)

Important Notes: a. Students need their Degree / Diploma for enrollment and mark sheet BOTH documents are needed.

b. Students with Nursing, BHMS, BAMS sometimes want 1-3 years course waiver. This is not possible.

Under MCI rules: Students need to complete the entire course from one institute. So join 1st year and

finish 4th year. In other countries you need to study for 6 years. In the Philippines you need to study for

only 4 years to get your degree if you already have a bachelor degree or diploma which is equivalent to

the pre-medical course in the Philippines

Careers after Graduation:

India: Students have to give the FMGE (commonly known as the MCI Screening test); comply with MCI process to register. Once Registered - they are eligible to apply for Government jobs in India and to join Post graduate courses in India.

USA: After clearing USMLE and complying with all other norms – you can apply for registration in USA. Students are eligible for registration in California as the colleges are all registered / listed with the California Board of Medicine.

Other Countries: The degree is valid in over 180 countries: Singapore, Gulf Countries, New Zealand, Australia etc. Each country has a license / registration process for Doctors – as this profession deals with humans and is regulated. You need to pass a competency test. Some countries may have a language test, job visa requirements etc – each of which needs to be complied with.

Documents Required For Admission

Step 1:

a. Submit Completed Application form to Overseas Education World. b. Rs 40,000 (Fifty Thousand) Demand Draft. c. Photocopy of class 12 pass certificate d. Photocopy of class 12 mark sheet e. Photocopy of Passport (if available – this can be submitted later)

Ensure that your application reaches before 15th

of September of the year of admission.

Notes:

i. Students who have a valid passport should file for a “police clearance certificate” for Philippines (PCC for Philippines) from the passport office or can apply online also.

ii. Students who do not have a passport should first apply for a passport and then apply for a PCC for Philippines letter from the passport office.

iii. Students should open a Bank Account and get an international debit card issued in their name. iv. The Passport should be valid for at least 1 year v. Get 10 passport size photos made of the face with a white background – size is: 2 inch * 2 inch.

These photo should be less than 6 months old.

Step 2:

Submit Before 10th

October of Year of Admission

1. Submit fee for Documentation By Demand Draft – payable to “Overseas Education World” and payable in Kolkata.

2. TWO Copies of Bank statement to be stamped & signed by the Bank for the last 6 months of the student (original Bank stamp on the statement)

3. Original Passport 4. Original 10th Certificate (duly attested by the State Government and also by the Philippine

Consulate) 5. Original 12th Certificate (duly attested by the State Government and also by the Philippine

Consulate) 6. Original Police Clearance Certificate (duly attested by the Philippine Consulate) 7. Original Bank Balance Certificate from the Sponsor of the student for about 2-4 lakhs

8. Affidavit of Support from the Sponsor

Step 3:

- Submit fee for visa by Demand Draft – payable to “Overseas Education World” and payable at Kolkata.

- We will process your visa work

Step 4:

- Submit our Last processing fee by demand draft or cash in hand in Airport before leaving India. - Fly to Philippines in November 1

st week or 2

- Join the University - Carry all your original documents - Carry your travel insurance which we will provide you - Carry money for fees + personal expenses
