This is an ideal space for artists working on a larger scale or for artists looking for a space to share with one or two others. Details can be found below and applications can be made by completing the application form and sending it to Studios Manager, Ashley Holmes via [email protected]. Studio specifications This double height studio is located in the Scottish Queen on Park Hill. The large, dual aspect space can be easily divided in three smaller areas, with two alcoves and a generous amount of space around the corner. The artist will be provided with: - Opportunities to exhibit at S1 Artspace - Artist profile on S1 Artspace’s website - Free S1 Associate Membership About S1 Studios S1 Studios were established in 1995 by a group of Sheffield-based artists who sought to create an alternative studio environment in Sheffield city centre. Since then the organisation has grown in profile and scale, whilst the studio holders of S1 remained at the heart of the organisation and development of the organisation. As part of S1 Studios artists are enabled to develop new work through support, resources and opportunities to exhibit, and to educate and inspire a new generation of artists. S1 Studios is home to a community of artists that develops its own projects and exhibitions. The artist group enhances artistic practice and nurtures collaboration between the artists based at S1 and with their network outside of this group. How to apply Applications for studios are invited from artists with a contemporary fine art practice.
