Students Who Will Be Applying for Financial Assistance (Financial Aid) The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy works very closely with our Financial Aid Office to communicate students’ status updates as they progress through the Pharm.D. curriculum. If you are admitted to UT Austin College of Pharmacy and decide to accept our offer, you will want to make sure your answers to a few questions in the FAFSA reflect the answers below 1 st year (P1) through 4 th year (P4) Pharm.D. students will be awarded graduate funding o Graduate awarding will be considered as independent status; no parental financial information will required If you have any questions about the FAFSA and want to apply for financial aid, you can visit the following link: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ FAFSA Application Priority Deadline is March 15, 2018 (for the 2018-2019 Fall/Spring School Year). You can still be eligible for financial aid even if you missed the priority deadline. Please submit your application to be considered for financial assistance. If you have questions about the awarding process through UT Austin, you can visit the Financial Aid Office link: http://finaid.utexas.edu/ You can also reference the “Financial Support” section at our College of Pharmacy site: http://sites.utexas.edu/pharmacy-admissions/getting-started/pharm-d-tuition-financial-support/ Please make sure that you answer the following questions in the FAFSA application as indicated below to be considered for financial assistance: Question: When you begin the 2018-2019 school year, what degree or certificate will you be working on? Answer: graduate/professional degree Question: When you begin the 2018-2019 school year, what will be your grade level? Answer: continuing graduate/professional or beyond Question: When you begin the 2018-2019 school year, what do you expect your enrollment status to be? Answer: full time Question: Will you have your first bachelor’s degree by July 1, 2018? Answer: YES (Those of you matriculating into the our Pharm.D. program without a bachelors, do not worry about answering “YES” to the above question. It’s a formality in order to make sure all of these questions/answers are in sync) Question: At the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year, will you be working on a master’s or doctorate program? Answer: YES Current UT Austin Students: If you are planning to complete undergraduate coursework at UT Austin during the summer 2018 semester prior to matriculation into the Pharm.D. program, you will need to complete and submit the FAFSA as an undergraduate student. Consult with the Financial Aid Office for assistance.
