Erasmus in Sardinia
• Multicultural and Multilingualism community
• Diversity enhancement
• Welcome and inclusive culture
• Spread and continuous tutoring and orientation
• Enhancement of students associations
• Synergies among university, productive system, institutions, knowledge and skills of trainees comingfrom different culture and realties
• These synergies become a virtuous circle improving allthe participants and activities
What happens with the partner Countries of the Mediterranean area?
• Even if our University in 2014 extended the Erasmus+ mobility reciprocity provisions to the Universities of North-Africa and Middle East participating to the UNIMED and EMUNI networks
• Different systems of higher education
• Resources availability
• Difficulties with visa and residence visa
• Language
Very few students mobilities from-toNorth-Africa and Middle East
That we have done was necessary but isnot enough!
• Difficulties to built integrated courses and to find resources
• 30 students from Maghreb will attend the whole courses in our University, thank to the project Sardinia Formed with the contribution of UNIMED and Banco di SardegnaFoundation
• Mediterranean Erasmus funds would have to face withdifferent systems of higher education which are notintegrated and sometimes very different
• Enhancement of the Erasmus+ actions focusing mainly on mobility for study
P r o p o s a l s
Traineeship grants could allow to start soon within UNIMED network Universities asking for funds from EU
Stimulate and found a network of students associationsunder the UNIMED auspices
following UNIMED Student Forum - Istanbul, July 2012
Bilateral Agreement at least for Traineeship within UNIMED associate/partner Universities
Flexibility, adaptability, shorter duration, integration with the productive tissue
Language courses (Arabic) in the North-side Countries
Thanks!
