April 6 will kick off the spring season of Dick Robinson’s Music by the Sea, seen Saturday nights at 6:30 on WXEL TV (PBS), Channel 6. This weekend, the Society for the Preservation of the Great American Songbook brings you Tony Bennett, performing with Lady Gaga, the wonderfully talented Peter Cincotti, and a Connecticut School of Broadcasting student introducing a 7-year-old who conducts an orchestra playing J. Strauss’ Overture to ‘The Bat.’ You’ll see Rich and Jill Switzer, Honorary Board of Advisor members, presenting 10-year-old singer Christina Zaide, whom you’ll have to see to believe, on Dick Robinson’s Music by the Sea, airing on PBS WXEL TV, April 6. Saturday night’s Dick Robinson’s Music by the Sea spring kick-off show, produced by students of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting’s Palm Beach Gardens campus, also will present a special feature with highlights from An Evening With Society’s Legends which took place March 10th in the Royal Room of The Colony hotel. Palm Beach’s very own Vic Damone was given the Tiffany Legend Award by Society Founder and Chairman Dick Robinson. Dick Robinson’s American Standards by the Sea can also be heard locally on WPBI 90.7 FM, Sundays, from 3 to 5 p.m.; and on Seaview Radio (960 AM, 95.9 FM and 106.9 FM), Saturdays, at 5 p.m.; and on more than 70 network af- filiates coast-to-coast.
