Completion of the 8th Semester

Excellence in Placement has now indeed been the tradition of Electronics and

Communication Engineering Department, V.V.P. Engineering College, Rajkot. Since FIVE

consecutive years, above 50 students have got placements during their studies in final semester.

This time, by the month of April 2017, 50 students are already placed in MNCs and well-known

companies and core groups for the branch like Matrix Comsec, e-Infochips, Syntel, Sattrix, ORPAT

group, Yudiz, Rang Technologies, Microlink Solutions, Embicon Techhub and more.

Also, our 2016 and 2015 batch students are currently working with esteemed MNCs like Intel,

Capgemini, IBM, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Matrix Comsec, e-Infochips, L&T InfoTech, i-Gate,

Congnizant, Vodafone, Reliance Jio, and many more. This excellent placement has been achieved

because of multiple reasons like the highly qualified staff members teaching them, the rigorous

industrial training in the 6th semester and industry defined projects in the final year that give

students industrial exposure. In addition to that students are assigned hardware/software based

projects for every subject in each semester which assists in skill development.

It is the ultimate aim of the EC department, to prepare skilled engineers that can achieve

success in the upcoming government projects like Make In India, Digital India, Skill India and the

very recent Startup India, where many companies like manufacturers of mobiles, laptops and other

electronic gadgets will invest huge money in India that will result in increased recruitment of

electronic engineers. More to add to these many more new companies in the field of Computer

hardware/software, embedded systems, Chip design, Wireless and mobile communication,

Telecommunications LED manufacturing, will come with their units and many new jobs will be

available to Electronics and Communication Engineers.
