Cat and Human Similarities
All of the major organs perform similar functions E.g. the heart pumps the blood and the kidneys
regulate water balance in both organisms
Both organisms have an aorta and vena cava veins
Both organisms have the same male and female reproductive structures
Both organisms have a diaphragm that is used for respiration, and is the barrier that separates the thoracic and abdominal cavities
Both organisms have the most of the same bones

Cat and Human Differences
The cat has three trapezius muscles while the human only has one trapezius
The humans hyoid bone and larynx are structured different compared to the cats, which allows humans to speak
Cats have claws while humans have nails The papillae (bumps on the tongue) are longer
and harder than a humans – this allows them to clean themselves
The structure of the gluteus muscles is different Humans are larger for bipedal locomotion

Organ Physiology
Since this PowerPoint is available online, I have not included the descriptions of the organs. I do not want my students plagiarizing my work.
