Introduction

Class Objective

This class will help each participant understand their existing connection with the angels, strengthen that connection, trust it and use it on a daily basis. We will be using angel oracle cards as a tool for learning, but an objective of this module is for you to also start to consciously communicate with the angels at any point during the day in any setting so that you can hear the wisdom your angels have to share about all aspects of your life. Certified attendees should feel confident and supported in giving professional level readings.

Included in this course:• Defining the angelic realm. It is important that you understand who you are

working with! In this course, I emphasize that the Archangels are the ONLY angels you should be working with. They are the highest and most pure form of Love next to God and carry the strongest energies available.

• Clairsenses – what are they and where are your strengths and weaknesses. It is by knowing your senses clearly, you learn how to trust more easily. It is similar to knowing whether or not you can rely on your natural vision, or whether you need glasses.

• Interpreting angel oracle cards to receive messages from the angels. There will be a lot of focus on listening to your intuition. We will be practicing a lot!

• Learning how to trust the messages you receive from the angels. There will be a lot of focus on trusting your intuition. We will be practicing a lot!

• Giving professional level readings.

Class Structure

Each class runs 90 minutes and is divided into three segments, each approximately 30 minutes:

• Segment One is opening meditation, student check-in, recap of last week and Q&A (questions are always welcome and encouraged; this is simply dedicated time.)

• Segment Two is lecture with interactive discussion of the topic for the week• Segment Three is angel card reading practice, wrap up, closing meditation

Homework Guidelines

Following are some tips for staying on top of your homework:• Contact your partner via email within 24 hours of the homework posting to

schedule your reading. Most students are able to complete their readings for each other within 60-75 minutes, although there is quite a variance depending upon the personalities involved.

• Chatting with your partner is wonderful and a great way to meet other people, just be sure to honor time commitments and make the readings a priority. It’s essential to mimic a professional reading, so play your roles of “reader” and “client” as closely as you can while “in session”.

• Take simple notes when you are giving the reading to your partner. Usually quick bullet points are sufficient because teachers are only looking for a summary of the experience. Taking long involved notes is not necessary and will just bog you down during your session. If you feel taking quick notes is interrupting the flow, remember that your partner will understand because they have to do it too! If it still feels like too much and you can handle taking notes after the reading, that’s fine too. We have had students use a tape recorder to record their side of the conversation. Do what works best for you!

• When your partner is doing a reading for you, just receive! You have no homework commitment other than to learn and grow from your partner’s sharing.

• Enter your homework into the Student Center each week. It’s usually easiest to do it right after your reading, so it’s fresh in your mind.

Certification Requirements

Once you are certified, you are eligible for posting on the AngelsTeach website to solicit clients for professional readings. In order to become certified, you must meet the following requirements:

• Complete EIGHT (8) approved readings. Six (6) of these will be assigned in class and you will need to arrange for two (2) on your own (which can be with fellow students if you like).

• Unless you instruct us otherwise, we will partner you each week with a fellow student for your weekly reading homework. Each week, you will have a new partner to get a variety of experiences.

• All readings must be done by phone or in person. Readings done by written exchange do not count towards certification.

• For your readings to be approved, you must enter your homework into the student center and set the status to flag to “ready for review” by your teacher.

• Once your teacher has reviewed your entry, she/he will mark it as either “student review required” or “approved”.

• If your homework has been marked “student review required”, you must review the comments and pursue any dialogue your teacher has requested then change the status to reflect you have reviewed the comments, so that your teacher can complete the final approval process.

Tips for Being the Perfect Angel

• If you are not able to attend class, please email your teacher to let them know• We LOVE to have you participate because that makes the experience richer for

everyone involved. Please also support your teacher as she/he strives to keep the class on track and honor the start/finish times as closely as possible and keep your contributions focused on the topics at hand.

• Be sure to have both decks of cards with you for each class. You never know when those angels will want to pull a new card unannounced!

• Before speaking, please state your first name so that everyone knows who’s talking. Eventually, you’ll learn everyone’s voices, but for the first few classes, this is important for community building.

• Getting the best experience possible is your responsibility as much as it’s ours. If you are not getting what you need, please speak up. While we do work closely with our angels, we’re human too and may not pick up that you have an unmet need. We strive to make this a safe environment, so please know that you can share anything with your teacher(s) and be mindful of what is appropriate for private versus classroom sharing.

Possible Changes to Expect

When anyone opens to their higher power of intuition, life begins to change; often very quickly, sometimes dramatically and always for the better! This is because you are choosing a path closer to pure Love. What results can be a phase of disruption as those in your life adjust to the new you. Be patient with yourself and your loved ones during this period of rapid spiritual evolution. And remember two key things:

• The angels will never give you more than you can handle• Everything is in divine order

Part One:

The Who, What and Why of Angel Reading

Who are the Angels?

The angels are an aspect of your highest self. They are a part of you. They are with you all the time and are an integral part of who you are. They are not separate from your being. I have come to believe that the wings represent the unencumbered (meaning free from fear) part of you, part of me, part of all of us. The part of us that consists of only love and nothing else… Quite simply, the angels are a pure source of Loving energy and devoid of fear and ego.

Your angels are always with you. When you invoke them, you are simply setting the intention of communicating directly with the highest source of Love and knowledge and setting aside the ego that can hold fear. It is as if you are making a phone call to heaven and have a direct line to the angelic realm. This direct line allows you to push aside your fears and doubts and receive the deepest level of support you can possibly get.

The various angels and archangels represent areas of expertise of your highest self. For example, your Archangel Raphael is the part of you that has access to infinite wisdom about health and healing. Your Archangel Michael is the part of you that is a leader and strives to eliminate fear from the world. Your Archangel Uriel is the part of you that knows what it takes to bring about peace…in a relationship, at work, in your family and in the world.

Some people view the angels as separate from humans and that is a belief that I have come to find stems from a hesitance to embrace the true power that we possess within. The truth is, you are limitless in your abilities. You are one with your Creator and the angels. Somewhere inside your core, you know this. This concept may be counter to what you have been taught, but on some level, the belief that you are one with the Divine resonates strongly and speaks to you. You are now awakening to your truth!

People often ask me about guardian angels. Why do I teach that you should only be working with the Archangels? Different teachers experience different teachings. What the angels tell me is that guardian angels are here to help you survive day to day. They may be a deceased loved-one, or an animal or other spirit energy. Yes, they are loving, but their job is not to advise on a grander level.

The archangels are of the most powerful, clean and loving energies available and are here specifically to guide and direct you with important life choices. This is their job. Especially when you are first beginning angel communication, it is important that you maintain the intention of working only with the archangels to ensure that they are able to teach you everything you need to know about your Angelic Intuition. Before you start to explore other energies, should you choose to do so, it is essential that you establish a solid connection with the highest realm of insight and wisdom.

What is Angel Communication?

Each of us receives on average one million messages from our angels each day. These messages come in many forms, both in the etheric, psychic realm and in the physical realm. Throughout this course, we will be discussing how these messages come through so that you can begin to recognize more of these messages from your angels.

How you become aware and “hear” these messages is through your own unique angel communication skillset using your angelic intuition, or your love-based intuition. Using this sense, you are accessing, receiving and interpreting messages that are coming from your higher self, your angel-self. These messages are characterized as clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, and claircognizance. Your intuition is also characterized by a sense the angels call clairbeing which is your Oneness with God.

Intuition comes from the Latin word root meaning “in to you”. Think about this. Intuition is your ability to literally reach in to others and assess and evaluate. It is your ability to sense things in your environment in a way that is vastly deeper than using sight, sound, smell, touch, or taste alone. It is your ability to know in your heart what feels healthy and what does not. There are five core ways that your intuitive sense talks to you:

• visually with your eyes, dreams and your third sight, • audibly through things you hear from others, sounds around you or things you hear

in your head, • sensually with feelings that you experience • with the inner knowing you hold in your heart and your gut• and lastly, by surrendering to the Divine Oneness of Life.

Intuition that involves reaching into other energy fields in a non-loving manner is fear-based intuition and is not a means of communing with the angels. This may be considered intuition, but it is not going to give you the Loving messages that are the hallmark of connecting with your angels.

Why Angel Reading?

Angels bring loving and healing messages to all those who will listen. The angels hold infinite wisdom about all you wish to learn and never ever say anything that is harsh or unloving; even difficult-to-hear messages are stated with love and compassion.

Reason #1 - by learning how to listen to the angels messages, you will clear away the confusion and chaos to know what choices are healthy and will bring you absolute happiness. And which ones will not bring you what you really want...and deserve. Reason #2 - by following the guidance of your angels, you will experience Love on such a deep and profound level that your life will be changed for the better, forever. You will learn to consistently see yourself and others through the eyes of Love. Reason #3 - by trusting the messages you receive from your angels, you will learn to trust your own inner voice. You will discover your most empowered you! Your sharpened intuition will become your greatest asset. You will understand situations that you haven’t been able to before. Reason #4 - by learning to hear the angels and follow their guidance, your life can become as wonderful as you can possibly imagine...how BIG can YOU IMAGINE?!!! My vision is that as the world population connects more completely with their Divine intuition, the world will achieve Peace.

Why Use Angel Cards?

Angel cards are a tool for receiving messages from your angels. I like to think of them as training wheels that can be used for beginners. They also serve as a way to release blockages and see what remains unseen for more advanced readers. For the duration of this course, please disregard the guide book that comes with your angel oracle cards. While there is certainly wonderful information within this book, it will influence your intuition and likely fuel any tendency to doubt. This course is all about YOU learning how YOU receive messages!

It is recommended that you build a practice of using the angel cards into your daily life, regardless of where you are at on your spiritual journey. That said, set the intention to open your heart and mind to the many, many messages that also come through in other ways.

Please note that using other forms of oracle cards (such as fairy, animal, etc…) are typically fine as well. The key point that you will learn is that the messages all come from a place of love, which defines them as angel messages. It doesn’t matter if the venue is an animal, fairy, human or elf !

Part Two:

Angelic Intuition

The Intuitive Senses

You have 5 intuitive, otherwise known as clair senses. These senses are your mechanism for tuning into your intuition and identifying messages from your angels and the rest of the spirit realm. Just like your senses of smell, sight, taste, hearing, and touch are your senses for tuning into the Earth realm, your Angelic Intuition connects you with the angels. It is your virtual “phone line” to Heaven.

Your clairs are senses you were born with and are a true gift from the Divine. By understanding which are your strongest clairs, you will know which is your most reliable “phone line” to the angels. Just like some of us need glasses or hearing aids, not everyone has the same level of clairvoyance or clairaudience (and as you may remember, I am not very clairvoyant).

Four of these intuitive senses are what the angels call your “primary” clairs. These are clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience and claircognizance. They are your “primary” clairs, because they are your first line of communication with the angels. They are senses that are gathering information about your inner and outer realities. The angels tell me there is actually a hierarchy of the senses, where one is typically the strongest. As you begin to become aware of your personal hierarchy, you will know which sense to trust must when you are lacking clarity.

Clairbeing is your fifth clairsense and is the aspect of your intuition that links you with the Oneness of all life. It is your ability to surrender to the divine flow of the present with love for all that you encounter. We will expand on all of your clairsenses shortly!

In essence, the angels are speaking to you all the time. You are receiving approximately one million messages each and every day! The challenge presents with identifying and listening to these messages. Understanding your connection with your clairsenses will also help you discover how you can deepen your relationship with the angels on a daily basis. Ideally, “hearing” the angels (however that happens for you) consistently and constantly is the goal. This is how you reach your most peaceful, loving and abundant self.

Angel Messages

Angel messages have 3 main characteristics:• They come from a place of deep and unconditional love. It’s the feeling you get

when you hug a newborn baby, a kitten, or a puppy. It’s pure, no trace of judgment and expansive.

• Spontaneous. Angel messages “come in” when you aren’t necessarily expecting them. When you allow yourself to be open and allow the channels of communication to be open, the messages are sent when you will best receive them…and the timing may not even make sense.

• They feel complete in and of themselves. There are no attachments to outcome, no judgments, no expectations or conditions. They just are.

Your Intuitive Vocabulary

Everyone has their own intuitive vocabulary. You already have your own intuitive vocabulary. This is the personal interpretation of messages that come into your reality and have meaning because of acquired knowledge and personal experience. Remember that there is no right or wrong, because your foundation is based on your experience.

Some examples:• When I see roses in a card, it immediately makes me think healing. When they

are pink, I think feminine, maybe a woman. When they are yellow, I am reminded of my grandmother and pursue possible connections of a matrilineal line. Maybe the client comes from a family with challenges that trace through their mother to their grandmother, etc…

• Water in a card always brings up several possible themes, including emotions, the subconscious, fluidity in life, the need to drink more water, and so on. For someone who has had a tragic experience with water, the possible meanings will be different.

• An abundance of green in a card, generally signifies healing – either a need for it or an indication that the client has healing abilities. On some occasions it can be about money. And on others it can be a sign that the client needs to eat more greens, detox or be outdoors more.

The angels will use your life experiences to enrich your intuitive vocabulary. Start to become aware of your vocabulary and allow it to flourish!

Clairvoyance

This is your ability to visually “see” beyond the physical plane.

Many people believe that clairvoyance is limited to seeing angels, spirits, auras and/or other energies. But it also includes the ability to see patterns and messages that exist in the world that you see with your eyes, e.g. repeating numbers (11,44,…), shapes, animals in nature, or other visible signs from above.

Another aspect of clairvoyance is what you experience in your dreams and other visualizations in meditation or guided journeys while your eyes are closed.

And finally, clairvoyance includes visions you may see with what’s called your third eye, or mind’s eye. This happens if you are able to “see” an image, despite what your eyes are actually focused on. Often times when I am working with a client, the angels will show me an image to help me understand the message they are giving me. I am still looking at my client, but the image also comes into my head, similar to a memory or daydream.

Examples of clairvoyance:• You keep looking at the clock when it’s 11 after the hour. (I recommend Doreen

Virtue’s Angel Numbers book to gain insight on numbers that keep appearing.)• When you look at people you see colors around them.

• For the 2nd time this week, a fox crosses your path. In many cultures, different animals represent different things.

• Everywhere you look, you see certain numbers. Master numbers are very common forms of angel messages. These are 11, 22, 33, 44, 55, 66, 77, 88 and 99.

• You open a book to a page that has just the message you needed to see.• While you are daydreaming, an image of your next house pops into your head

showing you what you need to tell your realtor to look for. (“I just know it has a red door and a maple tree in the front yard! I’ve seen it in my head!”)

• Suddenly everywhere you look, you see books about how to self-publish. Maybe there’s a book you need to be writing!

• You’re in the grocery store and a box of cookies falls off the shelf and smashes the cookies into little pieces. The message may be that you need to reduce the amount of sugar you’re eating.

• You see spirits either boldly or as a shadow.• You wake from a dream and you don’t necessarily remember all the details, but

there are a few things that stand out vividly that you know must mean something. Clairaudience

This is your ability to hear the voices of the angels. Sometimes the voice will sound different from yours, but many times this voice will sound like your own. Don’t worry if this doesn’t make sense right now. Over time, you will recognize and understand that angelic voices are coming from a place of such pure Love that it feels different from the voice of your ego which tends to hold doubting or fearful thoughts.

Some people do hear the angels in a voice that is different from their own. Again, if what you hear is coming from a place of pure Love, you know it is angelic.

Clairaudience also includes hearing messages through other people. This is one of the angels’ favorite ways to get through to people who are resisting their advice.

Or clairaudience can be sounds, like music, that you hear at just the right time, or repeatedly.

Examples of clairaudience:• There’s a voice in your head that keeps telling you to take a break, you’re working

too hard.• It seems every time you turn on the radio, you hear “Calling All Angels!” • For the third time this week you hear someone nearby mention the need to drink

more water. • You keep hearing people talk about going to the beach. Maybe you need to be near

the ocean!• There’s a voice in your head that is telling you it’s okay to trust your intuition.• Whenever you think of your mother, you hear a sparrow chirp outside your

window.• Just when your best friend is telling you something really important, a car drives by

and honks its horn as if to add an exclamation point.

Clairsentience

This is your ability to feel energy. For example, when you walk into a room or when you meet someone, you can immediately sense whether the energy feels good or bad. This is often associated with empathy. Clairsentience is also expressed if you hold something close to your heart you will often notice some sort of bodily reaction. (Try this…it’s really cool!)

When the clairsentient sense is activated, some people will feel a sensation in their stomach and others in their chest. Some feel a tingling or a chill when they get that “connection”. Some even sense through emotions and physical sensations what people around them are feeling. Do you notice that when you’re with someone who has a sore throat that suddenly your own throat gets scratchy? Or if your child’s ankle is twisted, your own becomes achy? Or if you’re around someone who’s sad, you suddenly feel sad even if you don’t know them?

Examples of Clairsentience:• You hug a baby, you feel blissfully peaceful and your whole body relaxes.• As you walk into a large store or mall, your breath becomes constricted.• You are about to meet your ex-husband to discuss the issue of child support, your

stomach gets tight and uncomfortable.

• Your friend calls and asks you to go for a walk in the woods and your whole body heaves a sigh of happy relaxation.

• Every time you’re around someone who’s sick, you feel it too.• When you hear a song you love, a smile automatically comes to your face and your

heart says, “yay!”• Someone gives you a piece of advice and you feel a pronounced tingling in your

body, like the chills.

Claircognizance

This is your ability to simply know what the angels and Spirit are communicating. This is a strong gut feeling that you just can’t ignore. The angels say this is equivalent to faith.

Claircognizance is a deep sense of knowing. Just as birds know when it’s time to fly south for the winter, it’s your sense of what needs to happen and/or what you know is going to happen. It is your ability to assess another person’s energy and know whether it is safe for you to be with them…or not. It’s that sense that creeps forward and when you ignore it, causes you to say “I knew I should have____! I just knew it!”

Examples of Claircognizance:• You know your mother is going to call you 5 seconds before the phone rings…and

it’s her.• Someone asks you to go to a rock concert and you love the band, but something

doesn’t sit right with you in your core. You know it is not a good idea.• You’re dating a guy who has all the qualities you’ve been looking for. He’s Mr.

Right, is madly in love with you and all your friends love him. Your parents love him. But, you just know it won’t work. Committing to a life with him doesn’t resonate with your soul. He’s really not Mr. Right.

• On the other hand…you’re with a guy who doesn’t fit your list of all the “right” characteristics. He’s overweight, slightly bald and doesn’t have a job. Yet, you know in your core he’s your soul mate and you are deeply in love. You know your future together is very bright, regardless of appearances and judgments from family or friends.

• You are driving home from work and just know there is a book you need to buy that will have something important for you to read over the weekend.

• You want to go on vacation with some friends, but every time you try to plan it something happens. After 3 attempts, you recognize that this is not meant to be.

Clairbeing – your inner sense

Clairbeing is your holistic intuitive sense and has 4 core traits. It is all about BE-ing and is your ability to:

1. experience wholeness and completeness with who you are.2. know you are one with your outer reality and look at all of life, plant, mineral or

animal, and experience the sacredness of existence and to hold that in your heart. It is your capacity to look someone in the eye and know they are just as divine as anyone else, despite the outer appearance and understand that everyone is a child of God and the angels.

3. love, without question, without condition, without judgment.4. surrender to the flow of the now and trust that all is in divine order.

Clairbeing is different from the other clairsenses, because it does not focus on a single sensory input. Clairaudience is what you “hear”, clairsentience is what you feel, etc… Clairbeing is when you lose your own identity of the ego and surrender to the flow of the energies that are all around you. Any boundary, judgment or belief between you and the world around you disappears.

Clairbeing may seem difficult to understand, but if you think of it in terms of a leaf floating on a river, perhaps it will make more sense. When the leaf floats, it moves with the current of the water. It goes up when the water moves up and down when the water moves down. It turns left and right and is completely one with the water in the river. Only when the leaf hits a branch or a rock does it pull away from the moving water and wait until the flow determines its time to catch the current again. The leaf never judges or experiences separation from its experience with the river and its other inhabitants. It is of love and surrender.

Clairbeing is a new term for many, but embraces a concept that is widely known in the metaphysical world. It is also one that the angels insist is highly important. We live in a world of great separation…from each other, from ourselves, and from our Creator and the angels. It is with working towards surrendering to the flow of energies that moves us closer together and creates the space for our intuition expands to heights that are now unimaginable for most people.

Examples of Clairbeing:• In meditation, you lose your sense of self and feel peaceful in the energy that is all

around you.• When you are walking in the woods and you allow your mind to drift into distant

thoughts and forget your worries.• You look up at the sky and watch the clouds transform from one shape to another

and all you are thinking about is the beauty of what you see.• You are able to look at someone whom you previously held judgment through the

eyes of forgiveness and love.• Your cat is sleeping quietly on the bed and you curl up next to her imitating her

graceful and tranquil energy. You drift off to sleep, grateful for this perfect example of Being.

Part Three:

The How-Tos of Angel Card Reading

Angel Card Reading

One of the most fun and rewarding ways to strengthen your Angelic Intuition and start angel communication is using angel oracle cards. There are lots of different decks to choose from. Doreen Virtue and Toni Carmine Salerno make decks that are the easiest to interpret and get information from.

Because an angel card reading is simply a conversation between you, your client and the angels, it is essential to release any doubts or fears about what you might receive. So when you begin a reading, I like to release the ego with 2 simple steps:

1. Open your heart in gratitude for the healing messages you know will come through.

2. Lovingly set aside your ego by envisioning that you are entering into the angels’ phone booth. Your ego is outside the door and you are enclosed within the booth. Your client may also be on the outside of the phone booth waiting to hear what you have to say. As you pick up the phone, you are directly connected to the angels and the only messages you can hear on the phone line of your Angelic Intuition are the messages of the angels; all fears and self-doubts are outside the door. You are merely a conduit for the wisdom that is waiting to come through you.

Selecting a deck

If the angels are trying to get a specific message through to you, the deck you use may well be important. Choose the deck that the angels guide you to use. This is the deck that your clairsenses are telling you to use and also what feels good. All these points of information should be aligned and directing you to the same answer.

Setting the Intention

You can use the cards in any manner you desire. What dictates the messages you receive in the cards is your intention. For example, a standard card spread is 3-cards – past, present, future. If you set the intention of selecting these cards in reverse order because you want to see the future first, you can do that. Then the cards you select would be future, present, past. It’s all about intention. You can even make up card spreads to represent anything you choose. It’s all up to you!

The most important and only rule is to center yourself in gratitude when you are working with the angels. Then you must choose an intention. What do you wish to learn? What guidance do you need? Questions around health, wealth and relationships can be tricky, because as humans we have expectations. Our egos often influence our better judgment. It’s okay to ask about these things, but be sure that you are asking from a place of gratitude and understanding that the answer may be what you need not what you want. The answer will also be what you need in the moment which may conflict with a future event. Why does this happen? It happens so that you can restore your homeostasis, your state of balance.

Sample questions with a good intention to ask with a grateful heart…• “Please tell me if this relationship is healthy for me.”• “Do you know if I will be happy on this career path for very long?”• “Is eating meat everyday healthy for me?”• “Would I benefit from changing my exercise routine?”• “How can I manifest more financial stability?”• “Will I be meeting my soul mate soon?”• “What steps can I take to be happier in life?”• “Will my child be happy in her school next year?”

Choosing cards

There is no “right” way to shuffle or select cards. Choose with your heart not your head! Whatever way feels right to you is right for you!

Interpreting the cards

First thing to point out is that the angels use any means they can to communicate with you. It’s not simply about the words or the message written on the card. When you open the door with your intention of “I am now communicating with the angels and want to hear their messages” all kinds of things can happen because they orchestrate everything that happens when you set that intention.

Yes, the message on the card often fits, but sometimes not. Sometimes it’s more about aspects in the image of the card, or the deity or angel that is depicted in the card.

Avoid using the book while you are learning this technique, because your angels are working with you to strengthen your own abilities and not simply read what the author has written. It often doesn’t matter what the author/illustrator intended. For example, the card may have a dog in the picture. If get the feeling it’s not a dog but a horse, then that is what’s important. The angels are “adjusting” your sight to see the horse because that’s relevant to your message, not the dog. And then you ask, “so how is a horse significant in this reading?”

There are 5 key things to focus on when you first select a card:1. What feelings do you have immediately when you look at the card: emotionally,

mentally or physically? What’s going on in your world around you?2. Does it feel like the message on the card fits your intention, or is it simply about

the picture?3. What parts of the image in the card jump out at you?4. What is the significance of the position of the card?5. What is the significance with the sequence of the cards?

Closing the reading

Pay attention to whether or not you feel complete. If there is any part of you that is still feeling unresolved, then there is more to come through. This may be an opportunity to pick another card for clarification, or to simply walk away and pray for guidance knowing that you’ll soon gain the completion you’re seeking. Throughout the process, and especially at the closure, be sure to give thanks to the angels!!

Readings for others

Conducting readings for other people can be one of the most rewarding experiences there is. By keeping your channel of communication clear and passing along messages of inspiration, hope and wisdom, you can witness the transformation of a life.

In terms of protocol, there are certain steps that you must adopt when doing a reading for someone else and are outlined as follows.

1. Before using a new deck of cards, hold them to your heart and bless them as you choose. I like to say the following prayer:

“I ask the Angels to bless these cards, which are a tool to communicating with you, the ascended masters and God/Spirit/Creator in a more complete way. I ask that these cards give me the clear and loving messages that are in my highest interest so that I might serve my clients to the best of my ability. I ask that the energy of these cards be grounded in Love, clarity and compassion.”

2. Make sure your client is comfortable and relaxed. If they are having a hard time settling in, ask the angels to help them relax and feel peaceful with the process. It’s much easier to read for someone who isn’t feeling stressed.

3. Ask your client what their intention is for the reading and be sure to listen carefully to their answer. Besides holding your intention, listening to your client is the second most important thing you can do.

4. Explain the following to your client:a. Your intention is to answer their questions and help them gain insight,

knowledge and learn more about their personal Divinity.b. Your intention is also to allow the angels to get through any necessary messages

that are on their agenda.c. The angels are very focused on showing people their highest potential right

now. This is necessary to help transform the planet into a place of light and love. As such, you must explain that the angels see a person’s highest path and so you will be providing insight into how this can be achieved. Be very clear with your client that this path is one of bliss and enlightenment that can be reached only to the extent that they are willing to follow the angels’ guidance. All humans are entitled to have joy and Love at their fingertips, but your client must allow his/her highest self to be making the choices in accordance with the angels, or this path cannot be fully attained.

d. If any answers don’t resonate, then either they will at a later date or there are conditions that must be met for the client to meet this outcome. It is possible that you are wrong, but that is unlikely if your intentions with the angels are clear. When your client doesn’t “take” the message, double check with your angels to determine if it still feels right. If so, then stay with it. Don’t waiver because there’s a reason that you may not be able to see.

5. Shuffle the cards with the intention of serving your client with clarity and compassion and determine what type of spread you are going to do. a. As you are shuffling, silently ask the angels to help you be complete, clear

and loving in your message. If during the reading you feel the messages are influenced by your ego and the words coming to you are not fully grounded in Love, just ask for help from the angels.

b. The other point I do emphasize here is that the cards are YOUR tool, not your client’s. Most, if not all, of the time you should be selecting the cards and when you place them on the table, they should be facing you. Your client may be blocking something critical that wouldn’t come through if they were choosing the cards. This process also allows you to more fully connect with their intention, because you are bringing their intention literally through you as you select the cards. The angels call this “completing the circuit.”

You can certainly share the cards with your client as you go along, but keep the focus of the reading on the messages coming through and using the cards simply as your tool for doing that.

6. As you lay the cards out (facing you), take some time to notice what is popping out from the cards – what are you feeling? What are you noticing in the pictures/words? What is your body sensing? DO NOT simply read the words, but rather notice all sensory inputs into your body; then proceed with the reading.

7. As you give the reading, the only “rules” are to remember that your client is the

true healer and you are the messenger. How you accomplish this is secondary. Just be sure that by the end you have:a. Accomplished what the client needed and wanted; be sure they feel both heard

and nurtured!b. Satisfied the angels – did you get everything they wanted you to?c. Satisfied yourself – did you cover everything you felt you needed to? d. Or do you feel a little disharmony indicating that there’s still more to come?

A tip for when you get stuck is to encourage dialogue. Often times this is what the angels are trying to accomplish. So if you are sensing something, but aren’t sure, start out with “I’m feeling like you may need to more time outdoors, do you like to go for walks in nature?” You are not expected to have all the answers. You are only expected to create the opportunity for the answers to surface!

This approach can sometimes feel challenging if you believe you may need to “prove” your intuitive abilities to your client. The industry often expects us to supply all the answers and so that is something you may have to contend with. In truth, the angels only want us to act from a place of Love and that often involves a good amount of personal interaction. Not just because the session becomes a richer experience for your client, but also is most times more healing. Remember, it is your client who is the true healer. When you guide your client to a challenging conclusion rather than simply telling them the message, they are more committed to the answer. If you tell someone they need to leave their spouse, they may very well reject your message. However, if you guide them in a conversation, knowing that this is where you need to lead them, and they are the ones who state they need to leave their marriage, then they receive the message more completely.

There are times when clients are more talkative as an aversion tactic and your job is to balance the conversation and be sure that your role is in total alignment with the will of the angels. Sounds challenging, but just remember the phone booth analogy and you will be brilliant!

8. As you are giving your reading, realize that you will naturally attract clients who will help you with your own journey. You will – without exception – always have a message in the reading that is for you too! Be sure to serve yourself and the get the message that is for you too!!

9. Silently pray that your client will gain all he/she can from the reading, bless them and open your heart in gratitude for the experience.

10. CUT YOUR TIES by asking “Dear angels, in my highest and best interest, please cut any ties or chords that do not serve me and heal all connections on both ends. Please also release any lower vibrations from my energy field that are no longer needed. Thank you!”

11. TRUST!!! Do not allow second thoughts about the reading. Trust that whatever was supposed to take place is what the client – and you - needed. Remember that you have done this in the name of the angels and you have done the best job you can. You have chosen to be of service and have incredible support from the angelic realm.

Readings for Friends and Family

First off, let me just say that while readings for family members can be lots of fun and very insightful, they can also be the hardest type of reading to do. If you are holding any opinions about what they should or shouldn’t do about something, then that will affect the clarity of your messages…unless you are very clear about your intention.

For example, let’s say your spouse wants to ask the angels if they should change jobs. You happen to know that the new job they are considering involves much more traveling and they will be around the home less. When you are receiving the messages from the angels, unless you get very clear about pushing your own thoughts out of the way, you can influence the messages you receive. As with readings for yourself, simply set the intention that only the messages of the highest good are allowed to flow through you…and you will do a perfect job!

So have fun with your gifts and share them with your friends and family. The angels have lots to say to you and your loved ones!

Part Four:

Building the Trust

Learning to trust your Angelic Intuition

First of all, remember that you are not alone in working this relationship with the angels. So long as you hold the intention of strengthening your connection and learning how to trust, the angels will support you and give you opportunities to accomplish this. They will never give up on you! All you have to do is keep trying!

As you become more aware of what your angels are saying to you, begin to follow their guidance. Start slowly at first if you need to, and see what happens. For example,

• When something doesn’t feel right, don’t do it!• If you’ve been getting the strong feeling that you need to help your marriage move

to another phase, then do it!• If you keep hearing people talk about drinking more water, then drink more water!• If you keep seeing grasshoppers everywhere, then research what grasshoppers

represent. In many earth-based cultures, including Native American, animals symbolize different characteristics.

• If a book falls off the shelf in the store, you pick it up and it feels really good, then read it!

• If you really want a pint of Ben and Jerry’s Phish Food, go ahead and eat it but then see how your tummy talks! What is your body telling you? (I know, maybe eat a ½ pint next time, right?!)

• If it just doesn’t feel right to be in your workplace anymore, then begin to listen to your intuition for ways that you can move on and feel comfortable with it.

It is also essential that you begin to develop your clairsenses. Your Angelic Intuition will expand in proportion to the amount of effort that you put into it. In other words, if you don’t take time to use and develop your abilities, then you won’t be able to identify and receive the messages from your angels. And you’ll be missing out on so much! You may believe that doing these exercises is a luxury, but the fact is, by opening up this channel, you make your life much easier!! The payback for time spent is phenomenal! Just do it!

Stress and your Angelic Intuition

Another aspect of developing your ability to trust is by consciously reducing the stress in your life. Your clairsenses become clouded when your inner voice is focused on all that you need to get done and how you’re going to pay the bills. You will – without exception – be unable to create the changes you desire, if you cannot make space for these messages to come through. And how you allow these messages to come through is by de-stressing through meditation, walking in nature, yoga, and prayer.

If you are feeling overwhelmed and simply able to “survive”, then stop and ask yourself, “Is this really what my angels want for me?” And, of course, you know the answer! You always have time to meditate – however that works for you. You always have time to take care of yourself. If you believe otherwise, then you are out of alignment with your higher self. Remember that you are not able to care for others sufficiently if you can’t take proper care of yourself. Your clients need you!!! So I encourage you with all my heart to take the steps you need to reduce your stress level.

Human Design and Angel Reading

Your human design directly impacts how you receive messages from the angels. By understanding your design, you can relate to the angels on a much deeper level. And you will learn greater compassion for yourself and others as you go through this process.

Where you are open in your chart, you pull in energy from your environment. What this means is that where you are open, you are susceptible to picking up energy from people in your energy field.

We don’t spend much time on the Angelic Blueprint/Human Design in this program, but expose you to it so you can be aware of some of the underlying energetic expressions between you and your client. For more information see the chart below and visit our website at www.angelsteach.com

Part Five:

Health and Healing with the Angels

Many times when people begin to deepen their connection with the angels, their lives begin to change. Sometimes a little bit and sometimes dramatically. Relationships that used to be tolerable are now difficult. Jobs that used to be satisfying are no longer cutting it for you. Health choices you used to accept are no longer acceptable. The light of truth the angels shine on all aspects of your life can become overwhelmingly bright. Depending upon the extent of your situation, you may experience what’s known as a healing crisis.

Whatever the situation, remember that you are deeply loved by the angels and have a network of support here at AngelsTeach. Do not let your fears go unchecked and know that as you follow your guidance, the angels will lead you to a life that is far more satisfying than anything you have ever known.

Realize also that as your body begins to cleanse with your new relationship with the angels, you may be guided to make more healthy choices about food, water, exercise, healthcare, recreation and just being outside. Be sure to pay attention to these messages as they are an integral part of your journey with opening to the angels. Our world is moving from one that is more toxic to one that is more harmonious, so allow the angels to use you as a leader on this path. Be an instrument of their Peace!

Whenever we finish one phase of our spiritual journey, it’s always important to focus on what’s next. This is a great time for you to be thinking, “how am I going to keep the momentum?” The answer will always be unique and personal to you. Exercise to assess your clair senses

There are several different ways for you to get to know your clair senses better. What I recommend is the following automatic writing exercise as a basic place to start.

Arrange for about 30 minutes of quiet time in an environment that feels peaceful to you.

Part One - With your journal open to a new page, answer the following questions as appropriate. Some of the writing will depend upon your personal perspective and experience.

1. Whenever I am in a new situation, my feelings are heightened/unchanged. For example, I recently noticed that ___________.

2. I have a strong/moderate/weak sense of knowing when something is going to happen. I know this because I remember when _____________.

3. I always/sometimes/never hear things that other people are saying or music on the radio. When I do, I feel like what I hear may be a message for me. For example, _________.

4. I am/am not a visual person. When I walk into a new environment, I immediately notice what I see all around me. Just yesterday, I was ____________ and noticed __________ with my eyes.

Part Two – without really thinking, answer the following. Open your heart and your angels will give you the answer.

1. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being highest, rate your clairsentient feeling sense. Journal why this feels right.

2. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being highest, rate your claircognizant knowing sense. Journal why this feels right.

3. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being highest, rate your clairaudient hearing sense. Journal why this feels right.

4. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being highest, rate your clairvoyant visual sense. Journal why this feels right.

To determine your level of clairbeing, it is important to gently determine how you conduct your day and the choices that you currently are making. For each of the following scenarios, circle the answer that most fits your choices.

If 1-2 of your answers are (a) or (b), then you are heading in the right direction and have good intentions. Just try to bump it up and set your intention to achieve more (a)’s and (b)’s.

If none of your answers are in the (a) or (b) range, then do not fret! You are not alone! With a little focus and intention, step by step you will get to a point where you have a wellness routine as part of your regular lifestyle. You may think, “there’s no way I can add any more to my life!” But I assure you that you can. It’s just a matter of finding the right method and structure that will work for you.

Why is this so important? Because if you are not able to let go of the stresses of modern society and allow yourself to relax and begin to feel at peace with the world around you, it is going to be much more challenging to connect with your angels. You will still be able to do it, but your level of resistance to their messages will be much higher.

Exercise to strengthen your clair senses

Today is your day to start a journal. Make it fun and go to the store and buy a new one that really inspires you. This is your new beginning!

For the remainder of this module, you will be focused on exercising your intuitive muscles and strengthening your clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience and claircognizance (we will be addressing clairbeing separately).

Each day, write down at least 3 angel experiences that you have for each of your clairsenses. It doesn’t matter whether you understand the underlying message yet, just begin to notice. So, for example, if you see a beaver cross in front of your car and you know in your heart that this is unusual and must mean something, then write it down.

Here are some pointers and things to look for…ClairvoyanceIf you are clairvoyant, then begin to notice the kinds of visions or patterns that you are seeing. Also notice certain animals that you might see repeatedly, dreams you are having or numbers you keep seeing. Anything you notice with your eyes and feels significant is a hit!

ClairaudienceIf you are clairaudient, then begin to listen to the messages you hear and pay attention to the advice you are receiving. Listen not only to what you hear with your own inner voice, but also the words of those around you. Often times, the angels will speak through other people – especially if it’s a message we may be rejecting ourselves. Notice songs that might come on the radio and draw your attention or other sounds that seem significant.

ClairsentienceIf you are clairsentient, then listen to how you feel about situations. Does going to a movie with your friend on Saturday night feel good? Or does it feel slightly wrong? Does going to the movies with your friend at all feel good? Or maybe it’s going to a movie on a certain Saturday night that doesn’t feel right. Pay attention to your feelings about choices that you are making. Do you get a tingly feeling when you talk about certain subjects? Or do you get a knot in your stomach? Your heart is speaking to you and you need to learn how to listen to the messages of feeling that it is sending you.

ClaircognizanceIf you are claircognizant, then listen to your gut. What do you already know in your core about relationships that are troubling you, or a work situation that is challenging? Even if you are currently unable to see that change may be necessary, just allow what you know deep down to come to the surface. You don’t need to take any action today, tomorrow or even this year. Just allow it to float to your conscious awareness and write it down.

Exercise to strengthen your clairbeing sense

The exercise for clairbeing is slightly different because it operates by using different impulses. Clairbeing is more about surrendering to the will of the angels and communicating with them solely on their terms, versus on terms that are more familiar to us like the 4 other primary clairs.

To build your Clairbeing muscle, it is strongly recommended that you do one of the following three things everyday.

1. Do a guided meditation such as the Angels Awakening meditation that is included with this course

2. Meditate for at least 15 minutes. If this is challenging for you, it may be that you just need to try it for a few days. Or, start out more slowly with 5 minutes/day for a week and then increase it to 10 minutes/day for the second week and then work up to 15 minutes/day.

3. Walk alone in nature (or as close as you can come to it) for at least 20 minutes. Try not to think about things you need to do or get done, but rather let the thoughts come to you from the angels. This is not a time to make a mental grocery list. Just set the intention of using this time to receive from the angels and allow your thoughts to wander.
