English Department Items You Should Remember

• Each assignment has a Late-Paper Policy that will be enforced.

• When a student misses class, he/she should notify the instructor in advance to make arrangements. If an emergency occurs making that notification impossible, he/she should contact the instructor within 24 hours of missing class to inform the instructor of the absence and make any necessary arrangements. Note: Assignments completed and graded in class for participation points cannot be made-up. Missing significant amounts of class time (more than three days in a semester) is likely to impact a student’s ability to succeed.

• If a student has a concern or needs additional help, the first step is to schedule an appointment with the instructor.
