GETTING STARTED – LOGGING IN

Navigate to http://technoinfonet.co.in/techno_nsc/v4/student/login to login into the

Student Panel of the E-Learning System

Login Credentials for the Student Panel are mailed to the student when they are enrolled

in the system.

On Login, we will be redirected to the Dashboard of the student panel.

COURSES MODULE

To view the different courses the student is enrolled in, click on the Courses Block on the

dashboard.

Click on the View button of the course, you would like to study.

The courses are of 4 different types:

1. Weekly Course

In weekly course format, you will view the list of subject under that course while clicking

on the View Button.

Click on Enter to Subject, to view the materials and assignments of the subject.

Here there are 6 tabs:

1.1. Course Weeks:

The Course Weeks displays the number of weeks, the course will be studies. Click on

View Week to get in the days and the materials that are going to be studied in that

particular week.

1.2. Assignments

The Assignment Tab displays all the assignments assigned to the students in that

particular subject.

Clicking on the View Button, you can view the details of the assignment and can submit

the assignment based on the type of assignment.

Assignments can be submitted in 2 ways: Offline and Online

In offline, you can submit the assignment in a doc or pdf format by uploading the file.

In online assignment, you have to answer the question in the text box area and click on submit.

1.3. Documents

The Documents Tab, displays the list of documents uploaded by the tutor in reference to

that particular subject.

Clicking on the view button, if it is a pdf, you will be able to view the document and if it is

another format like doc, ppt or txt, the file will be downloaded.

1.4. Web Links

The Web links tab displays all the web links that are shared by the tutor for the reference

for that particular subject.

1.5. Wiki Pages

In the Wiki Pages, the students will be able to view the content shared by the tutor they

come across on Internet.

Clicking on the View button, you will be able to view the description (i.e. the actual

content)

2. Topic based Course

If the course format is a Topics based course, on clicking view button you will be

redirected to the following window:

To view the topics and materials under the course, click on View Topics.

In topic course, the course is divided in days. Click on View button to view the materials,

the student has to study on that particular day.

You can view the material or download it from there.

3. Single Activity Course

If the course format is a Single Activity, click on the view button and the below window

will open.

In Single Course activity, there will be 3 types of activities – POLL, Quiz and Assignment.

4. SCORM based Course

When you view a Scorm Course, you will be redirected to the Scorm Course Details Page.

Click on Launch button and the Scorm Course will be launched.

ASSIGNMENTS MODULE

To view assignments of all the subjects, click on Assignments block on the dashboard.

To view details of any assignment, click on Details button.

Assignments can be submitted in 2 ways: Offline and Online.

PROFILE MANAGEMENT

To update the profile, select the My Profile block on the Dashboard.

To edit the information, please click on the button.

Once the profile is edited, please click on the submit button and the profile changes will be saved.

If the student wants to send an email to any one, he/she can select the Send Message button and

as the system is integrated to a mailing system Outlook will open up with the email address

entered in From field.

ANNOUNCEMENTS MODULE

Announcements module displays all types of announcements created by the administration or

tutors.

On clicking the Announcement, you will be able to see in detail description

NEWS MODULE

News module displays all types of news created by the administration or tutors.

On clicking the news, you will be able to see in detail description about the news.

CALENDAR MODULE

The Calendar displays all the events, exams, holidays, Meetings and Notices in the calendar view

The Calendar can be viewed in three ways: Monthly Basis, Week Basis and on Day Basis.

Also, to view more details about the events, click on the event in the calendar.

NOTES MODULE

To create a note, click on the Notes block on the Dashboard. The notes module follows a

calendar format.

To create a note click on the date and time you want to save the note and then a popup

appears where in you can enter the details about the note.

Click on submit button and the note will be saved.

DISCUSSION MODULE

To respond to or create any discussion, click on Discussions block in the dashboard.

The Discussion Module follows the structure as: Category -> Thread -> Post.

The Categories are created by the tutors or administration.

Inside the Category, there are different Threads. Click on the Thread Name and you will

see all the posts under that thread.

To create a new post, click on the Add New Post.

After entering the details, click on submit button and the post will be saved.

To view all the replies on your post click on View Replies.

To add a Reply, Click on +Reply button at the top.

Enter your reply and click on the submit button and your reply will be posted.

QUIZ MODULE

To apply for any quiz shared by the tutor, select the Quiz block on the dashboard.

To appear for any quiz, please click on the Start Button and you will be able to view the

questions of that quiz.

Click on the next button to switch over the questions and once all the questions are

answered click on finish and you will view the Thank You screen with See Your Answers

option.

When, you click on See your Answers, it opens the results sheet displaying your results.

If you want to start the same quiz again, click on Start Same Quiz Again and if you want to

export your results, please select export button at the top.

POLL MODULE

To check if there are any polls added by the tutor, please click on the Poll block on the

Dashboard.

To Vote for a Poll, Click on the Vote Button.

Select the option, you want to vote for and click on submit. On Submit, your vote will be

added and the button will change from vote to voted.

MAILBOX MODULE

For the internal communication, we have a mail box where in you can compose a new message,

view your inbox, reply to messages and can check the sent messages.

Click on the message to view the complete message.

To reply to the message click on the reply button, to forward the message click on forward

button, to print the message click on print button and click on delete button to delete the

message.
