‘Confetti Showcase’ June 17th 2010  Experience Confetti’s annual showcase of the best student work, including: films, animations, remixes, classic music productions, computer game concepts and designs and sound installations.

Meet the students that created them and hear about their work and ambitions.

Guests from throughout the Creative Industries will be there to network with students / graduates and sample the talent of the future.  Students, parents and guests are all welcome.

Get Connected!

Connect is the title for a brand new pilot television programme being launched by the Confetti Media Group. It is a magazine style entertainment programme that looks at the Creative Industries in Nottingham past, present and future. Think The Gadget Show meets The Culture Show.  Content for the programme will be produced by students studying music, media and gaming at Confetti at Levels 3 and 4 with industry specialists and mentors on hand to provide expert tuition and guidance throughout the production process.

Already 50 students from a variety of courses are actively involved with the project and are currently working with mentors to develop a variety of assets for the programme including music, graphics and video.

English, maths and …ICT?

Confetti offer you the opportunity to gain essential qualifications in English and maths as part of your main programme.  Achievement of these qualifications is vital in securing your progression on to higher level courses.

Show consideration

Noise from the courtyard can echo through to classrooms, causing disruption to important sessions.

Please respect your fellow classmates by keeping noise to a minimum and always using the bins provided to dispose of food and drink wrappers and cigarette butts responsibly.

Castle RadioThe new Castle College AM Radio Station has been set up to run along the lines of a Student Union society.  This gives Confetti students many exiting opportunities in terms of helping to run the station and providing or developing content for transmission.

Student presenters can submit one hour radio shows on CD to Curtis Hodelin for consideration for upcoming shows.  All material will be checked by Castle Radio management before being played on air and the attached guidelines must be followed.

Sun 16 May- Ascension Day (Catholic Church in England and Wales) (Christian )Ascension Day is normally celebrated 40 days after Easter. The Catholic Church in England and Wales celebrates it on the following Sunday instead.

Wed 19 May- Shavuot (1st day) (Jewish )Shavuot is a two-day festival that marks the time when the first harvest was taken to the Temple. Also known as the Festival of Weeks. Work is not permitted for the duration of the festival.
