Student Council Application 8/20/13 Hello, my name is Clayton LeCain-Guffey. I am an 8 th grader at Tecumseh and I am applying for the Tecumseh Student Council. I would like to be in the Student Council because I believe I can help make Tecumseh a better place for the students and teachers. I would also like to help design and create events and fundraisers with the Student Council. To be successful, I believe a Student Council needs to have a group of students who are equal minded and are well rounded. What I mean by that is that there should be students who can learn to agree with multiple things and consider everything, not just their own ideas. A Student Council also needs a set of rules that they always have to follow when designing activities, events, and fundraisers for the school. If I was in the Tecumseh Student Council, I would help design some fundraisers, help with any Student Council events, and help with certain awareness programs. I know many students at Tecumseh who don’t understand what bullying is considered and I believe that if their peers are standing in front of them giving a short lecture on a certain topic of bullying, it will slowly stop, or break away the bullying. I would also work with students who are getting bullied often and help

Student Council Application 8/20/13

Hello, my name is Clayton LeCain-Guffey. I am an 8th grader at Tecumseh and I am applying for the Tecumseh Student Council. I would like to be in the Student Council because I believe I can help make Tecumseh a better place for the students and teachers. I would also like to help design and create events and fundraisers with the Student Council.

To be successful, I believe a Student Council needs to have a group of students who are equal minded and are well rounded. What I mean by that is that there should be students who can learn to agree with multiple things and consider everything, not just their own ideas. A Student Council also needs a set of rules that they always have to follow when designing activities, events, and fundraisers for the school.

If I was in the Tecumseh Student Council, I would help design some fundraisers, help with any Student Council events, and help with certain awareness programs. I know many students at Tecumseh who dont understand what bullying is considered and I believe that if their peers are standing in front of them giving a short lecture on a certain topic of bullying, it will slowly stop, or break away the bullying. I would also work with students who are getting bullied often and help make them feel more important because the adults and teachers may not notice it, but there are many students at Tecumseh Junior High School who are depressed due to bullying and it really destroys the way that society thinks of Tecumseh.

Some of the qualifications I believe I have to be in Student Council is that I am very responsible. I always strive to get assignments and projects turned in on time and bring all materials to any class I need to. I always follow the Golden Rule and treat others the same. I also let other people speak their beliefs and ideas if I am working in a group. I am very outgoing and social and I believe that that is a great trait because it is perfect to advertise for something and bring out a message to students.

I hope you consider my application for the Tecumseh Student Council.
