WHERE CAN A TEACHER FIND STUDENT EMAIL ADDRESSES?

• iDataPortal • Student Account Manager

Retrieve Student-Needed Information

• Teachers retrieve the student email addresses to distribute to students as determined by the campus administration’s distribution plan. – For example, a campus may decide to give out this

information via homeroom, second period, language arts, etc.

• Teachers already have access to the student ID numbers, and most students know their ID number by this point in the year.

• Teachers also probably know their 3 digit campus number or can obtain it from a mentor or peer.

•All K-7 students have an SAISD email address and program.•The K-7 system is hosted by SAISD and is referred to as STUMAIL.•It is only email.

All email addresses in STUMAIL end in

@stumail.saisd.net


•Extra protections exist for these younger students.

These younger students must receive their Digital Citizenship and Cybersafety lessons first before using student computer systems, tools, and resources.


These email accounts start inactive (not working) until a teacher clicks the activate button in the Student Account Manager.

•This indicates Digital Citizenship & Cybersafety student lessons have been delivered.•Activation can be by single student or groups.


•All 8-12 students have an SAISD email address and program.•This system is hosted by Microsoft. It is a version of Outlook (like SAISD professionals use).•It acts as a portal to additional student tools, including

• Microsoft Office• Calendars• Cloud Storage• and more
