Student Chapter Installation, BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru

Fire & Security Association of India, Bengaluru Student Chapter Installation of BMS College of Engineering was held on 7th March 2019 at Bengaluru, at BMS Auditorium.

Mr. Dominic K.P National President of FSAI was the Chief Guest for the function. Other dignitaries present were Guest of Honour Dr. B.V. Ravi Shankar, Principal, BMS College of Engineering, Dr. Ravishankar Deekshit, Assistant Principal, BMS College of Engineering, – Dr. Rupesh Iyengar – Vice Chairman – FSAI Student Chapters, Mr. Satish Iyengar – Vice- Chairman – FSAI Membership, Mr. Ramapriyan – Bengaluru Chapter Secretary – FSAI, Mr. Liaqut Ali Khan – Advisory Council Member & past president of FSAI. The installation was also attended by members of FSAI Bengaluru Chapter CWC Members.

250 Students, 10 faculty and staffs of BMS College of Engineering in addition to the student Chapter Installation.

The Installation Ceremony was hosted by Mr. Satish Iyengar – Vice- Chairman – FSAI Membership. All the dignitaries were escorted to the dais by the principal of BMS College of Engineering. All present were requested to stand for the National Anthem which was played to start off the event. Bouquets were then presented to all dignitaries on behalf of BMS College of Engineering.

The Student Chapter installation function was formally inaugurated by FSAI National President Mr. Dominic K.P, the Chief Guest by lighting of the traditional lamp along with other dignitaries.

Mr. Dominic K P, National President then gave a welcome address, welcoming all the dignitaries and everyone present. The FSAI anthem and corporate video were then played on the big screen for everyone to get the idea about FSAI and its working. Briefed about FSAI Mission &Vision to the students.

Dr. Rupesh Iyengar – Vice chairman – Student Chapter , was then invited to brief about the initiation and formation of the Student chapter. He discussed in brief about the meetings which took place and discussions which happened in the early stages of the process. He also asked the students to take active part in the student chapter proceedings. He also spoke about different aspects of the student chapter which would be beneficial to the students in terms of gaining knowledge, meeting industry experts and also job & internship prospects etc.

He gave a very informative talk covering various aspects of the student chapter, its initiatives, the benefits that the students can get from joining FSAI student chapter etc. His talk was well received by all present, which was evident from the applause when he finished his speech.

Finally he briefly explained about the process of selection and short listing of candidates for the office bearers posts of the Student Chapter. After he finished, he requested Mr. Dominic K.P, National President FSAI to come to the dais for the formal Oath ceremony to begin. Conducted the official oath taking process. He then formally inducted all the Office Bearers of the Student Chapter into their formal positions as below:

Professor, Mechanical Engineering BMS College of Engineering The dignitaries congratulated all the new Office Bearers of the Student Chapter on their new roles.

The Certificate of Charter was then presented by Mr. Dominic K.P, National President to the principal of BMS College of Engineering, Dr. B.V Ravi Shankar The Office Bearers Certificate was then presented to the leadership team of the Student Chapter namely the President, Secretary and Treasurer. Dr. B.V Ravi Shankar, Principal of BMS College of Engineering addressed the students & gave positive attitude speech to all. Dr. Ravikumar L, Professor, Mechanical Engineering, BMS College of Engineering gave the Vote of Thanks. He thanked everyone for sparing their valuable time to show support for the Student Chapter. Thanked the FSAI Bengaluru Chapter Team and also National side for their help and support in organizing the Installation ceremony. At last Student gave the dance performance – Classical Dance Everyone present was requested to join for refreshments being served and the ceremony was brought to a close.
