AVID

950 students in Brevard Public participateBrevard County is the only district in Florida to sponsor a College Scholarship to a graduating AVID senior. This will be the 3rd year that the $500.00 scholarship will be offered. The AVID students at Kennedy Middle School were asked to donate supplies for a village in Haiti. Their response was overwhelming. The people in Haiti were so grateful that the village named their new school Kennedy Learning Center in honor of Kennedy’s AVID program. The AVID students at Kennedy are now supporting the school by collecting school supplies. Mrs. Tyre, Avid Site Coordinator, visited the school in Haiti in February.Eau Gallie High School received a full 3 year revalidation as Florida’s only National Demonstration High School.
