Seventeen (17) groups were registered under this programme cover five (5) Local Government Area. Fourteen (14) of the groups are into processing of Root and Tuber crops while three (3) are into production (2 for cassava and 1 for potato).

Osun State has keyed into the Transformation Agenda of the Federal Government with the sensitisation of all the stakeholders of the beginning of the year (2012).

The commodity-value-chain of priority on the state are Rice, Cassava, Oil palm/Cocoa, Fisheries and Livestock.

Incident of pepper and tomato wilt which has not got an acceptable solution from the Research Institutes;

Poor mobility situation of Local Government EAs;

Inadequate staff in the ADP; Insufficient project vehicle; Late or non-release of fund for

extension and research activities.
