SPHS Grade 12 Valedictory Service

A short and pleasant walk to the Sunward Park Trinity Community Church.

Always time for a song and praise. Grade 12 learners

express their heartfelt joy for the special experiences shared

at SPHS in their final year.

Made to feel welcome. When one door closes, many more are opened.

The Pastor shares some divine guidance with the SPHS Grade 12 learners. Faith, Love and Hope for the road ahead.

SPHS Principal, Mrs Peens shares her feelings and pearls of wisdom with her very special 2014 matrics. She spoke of career choices and the importance of individual responsibility. “You are not living your parent’s dream; you are living your own reality.”

Mrs Peens emphasised the difference between school and tertiary education. “No one will be there to chase you, you have to be motivated and disciplined.”

Another pearl of wisdom, “Do not choose a career or study path based on money only, make sure you follow your passion – that is where true happiness comes from.”

Mrs Peens concluded with some very sensible advice: “Chill, relax, but not in front of the TV. When I say relax, I mean that 90% of the things you worry about will never happen. Trust in yourself and have faith in your higher power.”
