The Marriage Blessing is the marriage tradition of the Uni�caiton fatih and has been attended by millions around the world. It transcends boundaries and religious af�liations, and creates a shared experience as one family under God. Since the �rst Marriage Blessing Ceremony in 1960 it has expanded to become an interreligious af�rmation of the universal importance of marriage and family, more fundamental even than our various faith traditions.

Sun Myung Moon was born in rural North Korea in 1920. As a teenager, he had an intense spiritual encounter with Jesus.

Through earnest prayer and dedicated study, Rev. Moon uncovered the mystery of God’s providence, the reason for human suffering and new insights into history that would eventually make up the core teachings of the Uni�cation Movement.

Uni�cationism, the thought of Rev. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon, expresses the essential ideals of all religions and philosophies, beginning with the individual conscience and family life. FFWPU members seek to embody the ideal of true love as taught in the Divine Principle, the core teachings of the Uni�cation Movement.

FFWPU champions three ideals: Family, Peace, and Uni�cation.

FFWPU’s mission is “To guide America back to God through the teachings and Marriage Blessing of True Parents.”

Uni�cationism follows the conscience that tells us to live for the sake of others, to put the public before the private. When people of all religions live this way, the world will �nd peace in God.

REV. & MRS. SUN MYUNG MOONmessage of peace to the entire world. Their marriage in 1960 marked the �rst time in history that a couple would stand as a uni�ed image of God, the True Parents. Together, they soon spread the blessing of marriage to others, establishing what would become the Uni�cation Movement’s most publicized and well-known tradition.

Rev. Sun Myung Moon ascended to the spirit realm on September 3, 2012. Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon continues to work tirelessly to preserve his legacy and complete the work they began together.
