Institutional Integrity and Risk of
Corruption
Outcome 3 of the CRIMJUST project supports, in
particular, counter-narcotic units and other relevant
stakeholders in the criminal justice chain to identify
corruption-related risks and develop measures to
strengthen integrity and accountability.

along the cocaine route in Latin America, the Caribbean and West Africa
Institutional Integrity and Risk of
Corruption• Increased effectiveness of counter narcotics units,
resulting in more seizures and ultimately cases,
would put drug-traffickers and organized crime
groups under pressure to react.
• Likely scenario: Increased efforts of OC to infiltrate
the units, threaten officers and resort to bribery.
