Journey started as Team Prarambh in 2016.Group of likeminded people thought of giving their 10% of income, Time and efforts towards goodness and future of India. We believe rural area of India needs a boost. We o�en think its govt who should do all but frankly some of the problems are too small that people like us easily resolve it with social ac�vi�es. I believe if educated people things posi�vely without any poli�cal influence we can give many of our innova�ve idea for be�erment of our country.

With this Vision in mind we decided to channelize our work in 2018 through our register organiza�on PENS SAHYOG FOUNDATION Our focus is on cri�cal area like Educa�on, Environment, Health and Development in rural part of India.

PENS SAHYOG FOUNDATION is a registered Sec�on 8(1) Company under Companies Act .2013.

KEY PROJECTS RUNNINGIN 2018-19

Promo�ng primary and secondary school educa�on in rural area is our main objec�ve. Student’s educa�on base is created in primary and secondary standards. Many of the students does not get healthy environment to start their educa�on due to many reasons.Area we target is tribal part of Maharashtra. These Students come to govt schools mostly to get one �me Meal. Their parents are daily labor in farms earns Rupees 180-200 daily. Girls child face difficul�es con�nuing school educa�on due to many issues like Lack of awareness for girls educa�on, transport issues, Hygiene problems and lack of girls toilet, early marriage, etc.Dropout rate of girl child is high at age of 13-14 due to these reasons. Our team work with many schools by personally visi�ng these schools students and mo�va�ng them by gi�ing School sta�onaries, Bicycle and other materialis�c help and promo�ng social project like Be� Bachao Be� Padhao.In 2018 we visited 250+ small schools in Palghar district and distributed sta�onery kits (Bags, Notebooks, Pens, Compass etc.) to 16500+ school kids. 400+ Volunteers from Corporates, NSS Colleges contributed along with 800+ individual donors and 8 Corporate sponsors.

PROJECT AASHAYEIN

Computer is must in today’s Digital world. You will not see any modern kids without Digital euipment.But there is area where Students are afraid of touching computers. India Aim for 3rd largest economy in world by 2030, don’t you feel these rural kids should get basic knowledge of computers.Through SEED we decided to educate these students by gi�ing Computer lab in their schools and providing special faculty to teach them.In 2018 we had setup 4 such computer lab with faculty. We have target of se�ng up SEED computer lab in 10 more remote rural schools in 2019.

Project SEED(Skill Educate Empower Develop)

Excursion program to bridge gap between urban and rural area. Schools/Colleges from city will visit villages and explore their culture. We focus on promo�ng Rural Culture, Rural Schools, Rural employment through promo�ng local business and tradi�on like Warli pain�ng and Tarpa Dance.400+ students from Billabong High Interna�onal School Thane, Universal High school Thane, St. John universe, Malad and Vibhgyor School from Airoli visited Dahanu for this drives.

PROJECT PARICHAY

GURUKILLI is a project for helping underprivileged SSC Marathi medium students from rural villages. Most of the SSC students from village cannot afford joining coaching classes or tui�ons due to their financial condi�ons. As they are from Marathi Medium they have difficulty in passing cri�cal subjects like Maths, English and Marathi. We believe these SSC students are future of India and if they pass SSC

exam probability of them having brighter career increase.We at GURUKILLI provided free guidance to them on cri�cal subjects through our recognize teachers and volunteers from engineering college.In Phase 1 we have given coaching to 80 students from JMT High School in Vangaon, Dahanu for clearing SSC 2019 Board Exam.

PRARAMBH NURSERY

In 2018 we conducted sapling crea�on ac�vi�es in various ZP Schools in Dahanu where saplings of NEEM, Black Jamoon, Jackfruits, Papaya and various other fruits have been created. These would be planted in different areas, next monsoon.

It’s �me for each one of us to give back to the nature. Mankind has been destroying the nature for his own selfish ends and concre�zing the whole place. Without realizing a simple fact that we would end up breathing unhealthy!!!We have come up with a project “Prarambh Nursery” to educate people with their du�es towards our mother earth and start ac�ng towards the major issue of deforesta�on which could end up as a curse on all living creatures. As a first step we created saplings and planted them with the help of school kids and corporate employees.”Prarambh Nursery” has conducted various sessions on planta�on and forest conserva�on to spread the message of the ill effects of deforesta�on. We conducted various sessions of “Prarambh Nursery” in corporate offices where people are just engrossed with work and arenot really aware of the process of crea�ng a sapling. One such drive was done at an IT Campus in Mumbai where 100+ saplings were created and donated to the employees for planta�on.

An educated women is an educated family. Every family educated, is a prosperous country. A lady has to be educated enough not only to teach her children but to earn her living and lead her life independently. Bearing this thought in mind, PENS has set a vision to financially help girl students to complete their higher educa�on. A special project names “Sakhi” has been ini�ated in 2018-19 which would provide guidance and financial aid to young girls in the rural areas. In 2018 Geeta received help for con�nuing her higher educa�on a�er 10th. She was brilliant and scored 63 % in SCC but unable to con�nue her educa�on due to poor family background. We decided to pay off her educa�on fees and admi�ed her in Junior college in Arts. In 2019 we have target to help 10 such needy girls to complete her higher study.

Aashayein 2019: A Ray of HopeThis year we have target of reaching 25000 school kids from tribal part of Maharashtra. We will promote primary, secondary and higher educa�on and girl’s educa�on during our drive.

SEED 2019: Digital Educa�onWe have target of digitalizing 10 more Small schools in tribal part of Maharashtra with se�ng up computer labs and providing training.

Paint a SchoolRecrea�ng life of students by re-pain�ng the Zilla Parishad Schools in Dahanu. School is the 1st thing every individual will respect for his life�me. We are lucky to go to schools in ci�es which are equip with all ameni�es and luxurious facili�es. Many of the Small Govt schools in tribal part of Maharashtra does not have basic infrastructure require for their schools. Fainted Paint of School building and licked roof tells us all story. Paint a School is ini�a�ve taken by us to recreate life of schools and students by helping them to paint their school by volunteering efforts. Volunteers from various corporate, NSS colleges willpar�cipate in pain�ng these schools.

Prarambh NurseryIt’s �me for each one of us to give back to the nature. That’s why we have focus on crea�ng and protec�ng environment by various type of project like Planta�on drives, Sapling crea�on drives in schools, villages and corporate etc. This year we have target of crea�ng and plan�ng 1000 Plants in ci�es, villages and on hilly forest area.

Sakhi 2019 PENS SAHYOG FOUNDATION has decided to help underprivileged Girl students in Educa�on and Health area. We have target of providing financial aid to 10 Girls child in 2019 to complete their higher educa�on. Along with Educa�on we are also commi�ed to work for providing awareness on Health and hygiene into tribal part of Maharashtra.
