HOW DO THESE RESULTS SPEAK TO YOUR LIFE?

• My results are very accurate, highlighting my natural tendency to be more goal-oriented than relationship-oriented.

• While many may see this as a negative, I see this trait as a positive. In group projects, I am the one that is focused on achieving the ultimate goal; and so in turn, I am often the team member making sure everyone is doing what they are supposed to do.

• Another one of my driving forces is competition. I am constantly challenging myself to be the best in all things that I do.

• I am motivated by is the visualization of accomplishing the goal.

USING MY STRENGTHS• When I was on a mission trip to South Korea, I had to organize teaching

material for high school students. Many people involved were constantly distracted and rarely got anything done. It took my goal-oriented focused leadership skills to round up all of the different personalities and make lesson plans.

• Many times in sports teams, I am the one who is constantly encouraging and making sure people are doing what they are supposed to on the field because I want the team to win. There was a particular soccer game where we were playing one of the best teams in our area and were tied 0-0. Then one of our freshman strikers scored a goal with fifteen minutes left in the game. The entire team was overjoyed, our focus was threatened. For the rest of the game, the other team was constantly on the attack, constantly threatening the lead we had just established. It took my encouragement and drive for victory to round up the defense and hold our lead until the whistle was blown.

• The book says ESTPs are analytical and competitive– like me.

QUESTIONS• How can I improve on my relational skills

while still highlighting my goal-oriented mindset?
