I started this magazine without having any idea of how big a project it would become. As a single mother who experienced first-hand just how unfriendly the Court System can be when you’re not aware of your rights, I first set out to create a resource to give people the information that they need.

Along the way, with the help of a number of attorneys who volunteered their time toward this labor of love, I learned that I wasn’t alone. Every day, the system takes advantage of people simply because they don’t know their rights. For me, it was a bad divorce. For others, it’s far worse.
