Street racing is a dangerous sport

Several people die every year from this sport

One of the biggest effects on teens racing is movies

State Police Investigating Street-Racing Death

• One man is dead after his car crashed during what police believe to be an illegal street race Sunday afternoon.

• According to State Police, the unidentified victim, while traveling south on Interstate 295 near Airport Drive, lost control of his vehicle. The car overturned several times and struck a tree.

• The victim was transported to the hospital where he later died of his injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.

• Witnesses to the crash said the victim's vehicle was racing three other vehicles at the time of the crash. Those vehicles were described as a white Nissan Maxima, a Hyundai Tiburon and a dark-colored Chevy Tahoe.

If you don’t watch out you, can lose your license for up to 6 months

• People can lose their license for up to 6 months or you can go to jail for up to a week.

• Most people don’t realize but it cost a lot of money to get your license back

Teens need to take it to the track and stay safe

Slow down and be safe and take it to the track, do the world a favor and stop endangering other people on the road. Take the racing to the Track, cops will love to see you there better then pulling you over on the highway. You can find a drag track or a road course with a plenty of safety tips and no cars that you will have to swerve to miss.
