StrategyDB TradeStation Uploader User Guide V1.0

User Interface Requirements

The user interface supports these operating systems:

Windows OS

System Type: - 32 bit OS and 64 bit windows OS

The user interface supports the following screen resolutions:

• 1366x768

• 1280 x 1024

• 1280x800

• 1280x768

• 1280x720

• 1152x864


Installing Application

The sample applications are bundled together in one executable. The

executable must run as a web server on a Microsoft® Windows® compatible

Computer.

Note :- If you have installed the SDB applications executable before, you must uninstall

it and delete the installed directory from the computer before reinstalling it.

To install, run, and access the sample application executable:

1) Download the setup.exe file.

2) Install the executable into the desired location.


3) On installation process, if we will select the option create an desktop icon than there is an application icon will create on the desktop.

4) If want to reset the previous screen option than we can click on the back button else go with the next button.

5) In installation process, if want to cancel the installation- click on the cancel button.


6) Once the executable is installed, select Start > Programs > SDB TS Strategy Up-loader> SDB TS Strategy Up-loader

7) To stop the executable, select Start > Programs > SDB TS Strategy Up-loader> Un-install SDB TS Strategy Up-loader


Application Run

1) When run the application, application screen will appear at the middle place

of the window.


SDB Application for Trial Period

1) On main screen of the application- there is login form and on the bottom,

there is a message “You are in Trial period” displaying

Note:- If user is on the trial version than user can access the application only for 15 days, and if user has the license key than by the license key user can update

the SDB for further 15 days but this license key is only for 1 time use ( if license key is used one time than another time it can’t use on the same system)

If user has the trial application than they will get the message of the trial period and if they have update by license key than there is no any message will be

display.


Update the Application

Note:- From the Register link, user can redirect to Update License key screen (if one time used the License key on the application than “register link” will not be

display on the login screen)

By the Update License key, user can update the application for another 15 days from the trial period expired.

Only 1 time user can use the license key on one system. if one time user has update the license key than they will not able to see the option of “click here to register” link on the login window


User Sign-up

For access the application, user have to sign-up on the SDB.

1) On the application screen, there are 2 options - 1) login, 2) sign-up

On Login screen- Sign-up link redirect to the Sign-up screen (sign-up

screen will appear from the Sign-up link)

2) New user can register on the SDB by the Sign-up, from the following screen user can sign-up.

3) On the sign up screen, user have to give the customer id ( customer id should

be numeric and fix length size but not already register ).

4) Email id field- email id will be in correct format and valid id.

5) Re-enter email id- re-enter email id should be match with the email id field.


6) For sign up a new user, all three fields are (customer id, email id, re-enter email id) mandatory, if any one of them is left blank than alert message should

be display

Note :- All error messages will be display using red color

7) If email ids are not match than alert message will be display


8) On successfully registration- User will get the Message.


Sign-in

Note:- User can only Sign-in by the registered id

1) On the login window- registered customer id have to fill.

2) On the email id- enter registered email id of the current customer

number.

3) Go with the Login button.

4) Logged in Screen will be appear on the screen.



Note:- user can only use the xls/xlxs files for upload, other format will not

support.

1) On the SBD TS screen- we can see the buttons ( browse, reset, logout, upload to strategy warehouse, show in grid and show and upload to strategy

ware house)


2) On the SDB screen, we can browse only xls and xlxs files

3) We can browse the number of files from the browse button

4) Selected files can be show on the grid by the “show in grid” button.


5) When we will click on the “show in grid” button than data of the file will be display on the grid


6) If want to upload the files on the server than have to click on the “upload on strategy warehouse”.


7) If we want to add more files before upload on the server- have to browse that

file and than click on the show in grid and click on the “upload on the strategy warehouse”.


8) By “ show and upload on strategy warehouse”, user can show and upload both the activity by one click.

9) When data successfully upload on the server than receive a message.

10) If want to reset the selection of the file than have to click on the reset button.

11) By the reset button selected files will remove and again we have to browse the files.


Upload Other Format files

12) If any other format files are trying to upload on the SDB then it will be out from the grid. (if browse the other format files with specified format files) on

“show in grid/upload to strategy warehouse “, it will accept the specified format files, other format files will be out and it will show the message for that.

Note:- SDB only accept the specified format files, other format files are not allow.


Exp- uploaded other format file (apr_02_2014_6a_....xlsx) and two specified format files (text47.xlsx and text47.(copy).xlsx ), it has accepted the files of

specified format and out the file (apr_02_2014_6a_...xlsx) with message.


13) For quite and logout from the application, Go with the Logout button.

Un-install SDB Application

1) If want to uninstall the application- from the start menu open the SDB strategy up-loader folder and click on the uninstall SDB strategy up-loader.

2) Than there is uninstall progress bar will be display and application

successfully uninstall
